I was born in Maple Ridge B.C, but was so fortunate to grow up in Nelson B.C. Like a lot of Kootenay youth, I had to leave for the big city life of Calgary and Vancouver, before quickly realizing that the Kootenays had me. I met my husband in 2003, an active Infantryman in the Canadian Armed Forces, and moved to Oromocto, New Brunswick (near Fredericton). My husband, Conor, is Dublin, Ireland born, but Kelowna raised. In 2005, we decided to move "home" and chose rural Castlegar for it's central location and easy, peaceful life. I left my work in health care 13 years ago to raise our 2 kids. Conor loves everything I.T and is happily employed. Together we own, renovate and manage many residential long-term tenancies. I can often be found cooking up a feast for family and friends, or growing fresh produce. I love flowy mountain bike riding, hiking, and discovering waterfalls, but great coffee and books are just right too. I like a quiet life, and spending a lot of time with my family. Occasionally, I get inspired by building projects and can be found in our workshop playing with lumber. Above all though, as a family, we enjoy slow travel. Our favourite trip to date was touring the Western U.S. slowly. Our next extended trip will be either Europe or the rest of the U.S., depending on travel restrictions. After experiencing many types of travel accommodations, I was drawn to vacation rentals for their comfort, personal touch and how they add to the travel memories. It is a privilege for me to host your stay and make it part of your travel memories.
