We don't have any super strict house rules and want our guests to enjoy themselves. At the same time, we assume common sense in the behaviour of our guests and respect for our property.
Unfortunately, for legal/insurance reason we need to inform you of a couple of important issues. The following should be read & understand/adhered to by all of our guests:

1) House manual available in the house with information about the house, house rules and tips and recommendations for Cape Town city bowl and surroundings.
2) Cape Town can have strong winds. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to close doors and windows to avoid breakage. Guests are using the un-managed and self-catering property on their own and are responsible for the above.
3) No partying and excessive use of alcohol permitted.
4) We have 24/7 security in the building. Use the provided keys to lock both locks of the property at all times. Make sure the locks are turned at least once to close properly. In case of lost keys notify your host immediately.

We were very warmly welcomed at the loft and shown around the workings of the building and the loft. The loft is spacious, funky, lots of fun, gets plenty of natural light and has a super view of Table Mountain. The loft in a secure building and is about a 10 minute walk down to the Biscuit Mill market. We had a small hiccup with the fridge in the loft, but Su and Dorica were on hand (even on the weekend!) to sort out the issue speedily for us! We very much enjoyed our stay at the loft and cannot wait to be back!

This is, as advertised, a big, sunny, beautifully designed loft apartment. But be sure to read the description closely (I must not have). There is no television, no stereo (just an old clock radio) and very poor wifi. The location though is the main problem. If you don't know Cape Town (as I didn't), this is in an extremely isolated warehouse district, surrounded by offices, quite a bit out of the city center, with no amenities around it (no shops, restaurants, bars, etc). It is very isolated.

Cool and very hip apartment. We really liked it. We found it easily and decided best option for us was to Uber everywhere into Capetown which was easy and cheap. The area isn't unsafe but we didn't want to walk anywhere around there at night (eg to supermarket or local bar). There was a commotion in the hall on our last night which sounded like security ousting an intruder (?) Wifi was really patchy. Toilet lacks a little privacy! Shower is great, bed is comfy. No TV, but we were out most nights so didn't really care but some guests may want this. The coffee shop across the street (ish) is great. Complex is very quiet! Very easy to sleep in!! Neighbors friendly, security guys friendly. The burgers at the local bar a couple blocks away are as good as the places Susanne recommends! (we tried them all!) I'm glad we stayed as it provided a unique and very funky accomodation option outside the more mainstream Capetown options. I felt maybe we got a slightly different and interesting perspective of the city as a result.

Susannes New York style accommodation is a first sight really nice but after staying there for over 2 weeks , we left feeling as if we had squatted in a warehouse , didn't have a homely feel at all The description states an area full of cafes but the reality is its an area that will be great in years to come but at night it a no walking zone (this was told by everyone we met) the city is only a 60 Rand Uber trip away so very close but we would love to have spent some nights locally but there was just nothing in the area ... its dark and very intimidating At first it was very refreshing having no tv but as it rained for most of the stay it would have been nice to watch tv the odd night , also no wifi .. sorry wifi was an option but at a cost ?!?!?? There is a lovely weekend market roughly 20 mins walk away On a couple of nights (and days) we planned to take it easy and read ... only to be hit by powercuts !!! Overall the stay was ok but id probably recommend staying down the waterfront or seapoint and taking a cab to weekend market

This place is as beautiful as the photos if not more! However, there isn't any free wifi (which is stated in the description as well), nor is there a television, so be prepared to enjoy some disconnectedness from the online world! The locks of the door were broken, and if we weren't careful, we could easily lock ourselves in each time we came back from somewhere. After every shower on the top level, the water would drip down to the 1st floor. You'll definitely need to have a car in case you chose this airbnb loft! Aside from that everything was absolutely lovely. We had a great time, despite some minor issues :)
