Wake up in a hand-built yurt at the edge of a spring-fed pond on a working heritage farm in Northern Ontario. Step outside and the water is right there. Wood-fired sauna on the bank.

The space
The Pond Yurt sits directly at the water's edge — the spring-fed pond is your front yard. This isn't a listing that mentions a pond somewhere on the property. You open the door and you're there.
The yurt sleeps 2 with a queen bed, hand-built on Foxfire Heritage Farm — a 100-acre working farm dedicated to conserving some of Canada's rarest heritage livestock breeds: Lynch Lineback Cattle, Large Black Hogs, and Chantecler Chickens. You're not visiting a theme park version of farm life. This is the real thing.
The wood-fired sauna sits right on the pond bank. Heat up, step outside, cool down in the night air with the water in front of you. It's the kind of thing that's hard to explain and impossible to forget.
Evenings here are quiet in the way that's genuinely hard to find anymore. Campfire by the water. Stars reflected on the pond. Minimal light pollution. Bring a camera — the night photography here is exceptional.
70 acres of mixed forest and pasture with trails winding through the woods and along the water. Birdwatching, foraging, hiking, wildlife photography — the property rewards anyone who slows down.
What's included: wood-fired sauna, campfire pit, BBQ and propane, potable water, power bank for lighting and device charging, firewood in summer, woodstove with firewood in fall and winter.
The yurt runs off-grid — intentionally. No hydro hum, no light pollution, no noise. Just the pond, the farm, and the fire.

Shared access to the full farm — gardens, animal areas, and 70 acres of forested trails. Outdoor shower available nearby.
Parking: June through September, park directly beside the yurt. October through May, parking is at the front of the farm due to ground conditions — a 3-minute walk to the yurt along the pond path.
