Our two cottages are on neighbouring properties making them ideal when needing more room. There is so much to do in the surrounding area close to our beautiful cottage! We're so proud of our 2nd lakehouse redesign & renovation after Red Fox Lakehouse. Red Pine Lakehouse boasts a great floor plan with 3 levels to spread out. The entryway welcomes Guests with heated floors and space for winter or summer gear. This leads to 3 of the 4 bedrooms, including a bedroom with 2 twin beds, a bedroom with a queen bed and a primary bedroom with a king bed and walkout to a private balcony, perfect for quiet time. This level also has a spacious bathroom with heated floors, a tub/shower combo and full sized washer and dryer.
Head down 5 steps to the main level carefully renovated for ultimate entertaining! It offers an oversized, beautiful chef's kitchen with island seating, cocktail/coffee bar area with a bar sink and extra bar fridge. The dining area offers a table for 8 and beside it, a spacious living room with a woodstove for those chilly days. There is a large SMART TV (with Satellite TV & DVD player), and floor to ceiling windows to capture the big lake views all day long. Walk out to the 40' x 12' deck with outdoor dining for 8, Napoleon grill with propane line (so that Guests never run out of fuel), and a comfy, sectional and several chairs for lounging day or night.
The lower level offers a large family room with a comfy sectional, another SMART TV with DVD player and beautiful electric fireplace surround, a foosball table, and a table ready for games, puzzles and more. The lower level is bright with a number of large windows, all above grade, showing off the beautiful greenery and rock wall during the summer months. The 4th bedroom offers a second king sized bed and there is an additional, beautiful bathroom with large, modern shower, and heated floors for those chilly days.
The Lakehouse has a central air-conditioning unit to keep Guests cool through those hot summer days. It has central propane heating (furnace), and a full-power Generac Generator to ensure Guests never lose hydro from storms any time of year.
All rooms have been decorated with new furniture, decor, linens and mattresses for your comfort! The Lakehouse is fully appointed with all of the appliances and amenities you might want. Loads of board games, puzzles, books, outside games, DVDs, Internet, cottage phone, 2 DVD players and 2 Smart TVs are also included for your enjoyment.
Included in your stay are complimentary bed linens, towels, beach towels, and some basic supplies to get guests started. Also provided with compliments are - a jar of Nespresso capsules, a number of spices, salt & pepper, white sugar, olive oil, a few rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, cleaning supplies, dish soap, hand soaps, and more. Bring clothes and food and enjoy! If something is forgotten, the nearby marina also has some basic food/snacks/ice cream and an LCBO outlet. Only ten minutes away, Eagle Lake Country Market (open year-round) has a great selection of groceries, homemade bakery and LCBO outlet.
The Lakehouse itself is nestled on the waterfront with 270' of frontage on a fairly flat grass lot perfect for games and relaxing with the privacy of trees on either side. You can walk into the water as it has a very gradual decline or jump off the dock. There is a sandy beach area perfect for little ones and your pups too. There is also a swim raft for jumping off! Water levels lower all summer as the lake feeds the Trent Severn Gull River Watershed System so it's important to check depth before jumping and diving.
There are several different deck and dock seating areas outside for Guests to enjoy. The fire pit was created to enjoy the big lake views all year round and wood is included with compliments. There are 2 stand-up paddle boards, a peddle boat, canoe and two kayaks and some water toys and a number of outdoor games to enjoy. If Guests would like to tour the lake, they can rent a motor boat or a pontoon boat from the Marina which is less than five minutes away on the lake.
**Please note - Docks and boats are seasonal, and are typically out and accessible starting the May long weekend until September for guest safety.
Winter Info - *Complimentary snowshoes and poles available for our guests to enjoy while at Red Pine Lakehouse. *Only 20 minutes to Glebe Park (More X-country ski trails are scattered throughout the entire area) * Only 12 minutes to Sir Sam's Ski & Ride where Guests can downhill ski and snowshoe. *Winterdance Dog sledding is only 10 minutes away. Haliburton Lake typically freezes and guests can skate and ice-fish throughout the winter (weather dependent of course). The road is plowed by the township and we have our driveway privately plowed for our Guests' convenience. NOTE: AWD and Winter tires are recommended from snow fall to thaw, typically November through to April.
