1 "On vacation everything needs to be solved quickly DISREGARDING WHAT THE PROBLEM IS" : don't think so. One thing was the serious initial and sudden blackout the people (you booked for) had.. serious problem that we solved on the same day. QUICKLY as you said. on friday evening. one other thing is the AC breakdown (that have caused the blackout) due to an overload (maybe caused by them). Engine burned : need a spare part, difficult to find for many reasons, all attributable to Daikin assistance and very bad unlucky timing (end of July, during weekend, an old machine, an absurd head office in Belgium from where we have to depend on, even no technical possibility to think to a new installation because the system was incorporated with the building restoration). But for sure we didn't leave them dying without 2 fans at least...
2 "Not being PREPARED AND READY" : yeah, we weren't. seen that Airbnb is a platform for "normal people" that wish to earn something from their homes. we're freelance journalists, not hoteliers. we are only on this website because this is a "real home".
3 INVOLVE YOU we had pressure from them all the time, which is understandable... and now we should feel sorry to have update you.. trying to be more clear possible to explain the complex situation that we were fronting.. or one time just asked them (and just in case they were at home obviously), to do a picture to the number of the machine?
so, instead of pretending impossible things, next time you should simply opt for an hotel. and eventually leave the house if the situation is so unbearable. When someone sold us a house in a fake position, we left and then got a reimbursement from Airbnb... not take advantage of a 17 services home and then ask us 50% of the nights for an AC that worked and so maybe broke by you.. as they did. If we were so disbeliever as you are we would ask you the 50% of the 3.000 euro we have to pay to fix the problem.
Think that we're still waiting for the compressor, but our guests are perfectly aware of the problem. 4 people are already arrived and they have left good reviews.
we don't think you are prepared and ready to travel easily as Airbnb requires.
