Stay in the adorable guest bedroom of my sunny cottage in the little East Bay town of Albany, conveniently located a short walk to Solano Ave., Berkeley, and a BART ride away from San Francisco, Oakland and all the Bay Area has to offer.
There is no smoking.
Pets can be discussed, but since there is already a dog in residence it might be a bit much to add another.
Since the bathroom is shared at least some of the time, I ask guests to be mindful. And please, be aware that we here in California have water rationing due to prolonged drought.
The rooms are remarkably sound proof because the walls are plaster and wood, so you may feel free to come in and go out as you please. You won't disturb me in the least.

Born in Cincinnati, I moved to Montreal when I was 10. From the age of 12, rather like someone in a 19th century novel, I went away to boarding schools, a few of them Catholic convents, I love history and literature, have an MA in English from UC Berkeley, and currently work at the University grading student papers and helping students with their writing. I'm also certified to teach English to speakers of other languages, which I hope to do overseas someday. I've spent extensive time in Mexico, France, and Ghana, and have traveled through Europe, Vietnam, and Mali. I have two children and three grandchildren under 2 1/2. My house tells a story; if you look around, perhaps you'll crack the code.
