A beautifully renovated townhouse in a historic building. In a great vibrant neighborhood, but close to downtown.
My condo is one of 10 townhouses in a beautiful brick building built in 1904. I bought it in 2008 and have fully renovated it myself. There is a basement with storage and laundry; the 1st floor has an open floor-plan with kitchen and living room. There are two bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs. The back bedroom has a queen size mattress with box spring. The front bedroom has a very comfortable queen size futon, and a desk and chair. A printer will also be available for use.
You will have the whole condo to yourselves. Great full bath upstairs with soaking tub, a speaker wired to stereo system downstairs. There is also a 1/2 bath downstairs. You will have full access to the kitchen, and can help yourself to any extras for cooking such as spices, sauces, etc. You'll be free to use the washer/dryer located in the basement. You can use the entertainment center including tv, stereo, and dvd, as well as a modest dvd collection. I don't have cable TV, but most people are not here to watch TV! There are a quite a few local stations available from the digital antenna.
Interaction with guests
This listing is for the entire place, but please see my regular listing for shared space- my primary listing for when I'm home.
Other things to note
Day hikes and excellent road and mountain bike rides abound in the foothills, many within a 30min. drive. Yoga studios and fitness centers are within walking distance. Boulder is 35mi. away, and great skiing is within about an hour at Loveland ski area, and many more ski areas are a little further West on I-70.
Too much to list nearby in Denver but a few worth mentioning: Aquarium, Elitch Gardens amusement park, Mile High Stadium, Coors Field, Pepsi Center, Center for Performing Arts, Convention Center, Capitol, Botanical Gardens, Museum of Nature and Science..
No smoking in the house. Please clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom. Please try to be mindful of noise, as this is a townhome with shared walls; my place is a perfect cozy and quiet homebase, but not a party-pad!

I grew up next to beautiful Lake Champlain in Vermont, and then lived in New Orleans for 10 years before moving to Denver in 2007. I love the city, and my neighborhood, and being close to the adventure playground of the Rockies. I've done a decent amount of traveling and know the value of a cozy, friendly place to stay. My parents always had exchange students staying at our house, and I've been an exchange student in Colombia. Hosting with Airbnb has been an amazing experience, and it's always fun hearing about people's travels, and their experience of Denver, as well as giving any advice I can on my area.
Some favorite cities (other than Denver!): Montreal, Burlington, VT; New York, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro.
I look forward to more travels as a guest with Airbnb, as I believe it really gives you so much more of a real feeling for a place, and it's a much richer experience if you can interact with a local.
One of my life mottos: Never stop learning-or traveling!
