Joshua Tree Guest Studio Next To Coyote Hole And National Park
Hello! Thanks for taking a look! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all!-Jaybe
Here Is The Quick Description:
The Joshua Tree Guest Studio is a great place for a single person or a couple looking for a private, safe, clean, quiet comfortable studio apartment in a perfect location to explore Joshua Tree. It is located on the last corner of the paved roads of the Joshua Tree village, next to a canyon and very close to the Joshua Tree National Park, It is also a mile away from the highway, surrounded by open wilderness yet walking distance to the shops and restaurants of downtown Joshua Tree.
And Now The Details:
Inside The Studio:
The Studio itself is a completely private bedroom with its own entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, outside area and carport. The bedroom includes a queen-size bed with a memory-foam pad, firm and soft pillows, a table with two chairs, a small walk-in closet, books and games, extra shelves, heater and swamp cooler and mini-refrigerator. The all tile bathroom has a 12-foot high ceiling with a skylight and has towels, soap and shampoo. The kitchenette also has a 12 foot high ceiling with skylight and it contains a two-burner hotplate, a huge sink, a microwave oven, a toaster oven, pots and pans with cooking utensils, coffee, tea, plunger pot, hotpot, cups and plates. The outside area has a table with chairs, grill and a wood-burning stove -all great for watching the stars at night.
The Studio really is in a perfect location for quick and easy access to both the Joshua Tree National Park (you can hike into it from your door if you would like) and the great restaurants and shops of downtown Joshua Tree (you can walk to them right down the hill one mile away). It is is literally on the boundary between civilization and wilderness.
Being on the edge of the neighborhood you will be on paved road with quick and easy access to all the great places to eat and shop in Downtown Joshua Tree. But it still feels like you are in the park. An amazing view of two bouldered hills is yours right from the patio. In the yard you are surrounded with native Desert Willows, Creosote Bushes, Jojoba and Joshua Trees. Here you might also see Roadrunners, Quail, Jackrabbits and possibly a Bobcat. Many times you will hear coyotes right nearby in the field. Also being close to the National Park provides a really dark sky at night making the Milky Way and all the shooting stars shine bright.
A unique feature of the JT Guest Studio is that it is across the street from the wash that takes you to Coyote Hole less than a third of a mile away. Coyote Hole is an amazing hidden canyon with ancient Native American sites scattered throughout. Here you will be able to see very old petroglyphs left by humans possibly up to a thousand years ago and even possibly find pottery shards or arrowheads in the sand. This is an incredible place just to walk through and it is just right outside your front door. If you would like a tour just to point everything out that's not a problem, just ask!

A private studio apartment with private bathroom and kitchenette, an outside private area with a grill and wood burning fireplace, a carport, a trail into the wilderness.
I try to greet every guest when they arrive. And I am happy to take anyone on a short tour of the petroglyphs
The faces in the boulders.
The studio is well located for those who like to walk. Either walking on the trails in the boulders across the street or to a cafe restaurant or store down the hill.
The Studio is really close to a canyon filled with petroglyphs called Coyote Hole.
What a wonderful place to stay! JB is awesome. He provided tips for our trip and recommended one of the best pizza joints. The house is comfortable and has a great energy to it. Sitting outside and watching the sunset against the boulders of Joshua Tree National Park was one of the most incredible perks. At night you can see all the stars and sleep like a baby because it's so quiet. Plus, if you like to explore, Joshua Tree National Park is just steps away from JB's property. We will definitely return again to JB's guest studio!
We had a wonderful time at the studio. This was honestly one of the best experiences staying here, it's location is so central and the view is perfect. The living space is a lot bigger than we thought, and there's actually everything you would need in the kitchen - pots, pans, dish-ware, etc. Jaybe's a great host, he made sure we had everything we needed, even including a sweet gift of chocolate, granted it was a holiday. I would recommend this place to any couple looking for a private weekend in Joshua Tree.
Great place! Close to the park and the town a perfect compromise. Very comfortable bed, warm rooms nice fireplace. We enjoyed it very much thank you JayBe!
Loved the quiet and darkness away from city lights, bright lights. Small studio functional and comfortable for two people, short stay. Appreciated the good heater as was cold in JT during our visit.
JB is a great host...nice and easy going.
I came here alone for a weekend getaway but it's great for two also. JayBe was very pleasant, gave me info about local spots which I was unaware of despite the many trips I make to JT each year. The studio was very clean. The kitchen had everything I needed - that little refrigerator really does work - do not assume it won't get cold, you don't need to tamper with the controls, it works great. I did wander over a mile from the studio across the street through the trails and boulders, got too close to a house and got yelled at for trespassing even though on my way out there I passed no T-signs. I was very apologetic, he calmed down - clearly not a reflection of the studio or JayBe. Right at park entrance. Great weekend! There are other more expensive, fancy spots around the area but this was perfect.
The studio is bright and cosy, and we enjoyed our stay very much. JayBe was a great host and was waiting for us when we arrived. He invited us on a walk into the desert (just outside the door) right after we got settled, and told us about the local highlights.
The studio was very comfortable and well-equipped, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the desert.
The studio is very charming and comfortable. It has everything you need for a short stay. The bed is super comfortable, the heater in both the studio and bathroom makes the temperature very easily controlled and keeps the studio warm through the night. JayBe is super responsive on the phone.
Note: We're with T-Mobile and there is no service at the studio so you might want to get your calls done prior.
Love the DIY details of reusing materials like doors to make a skylight and window. Adds to the overall charm :) We had a great time and experience at JayBe's place. Our cat Panda loved it too.
JB was such a great host first of all! I stayed here with my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary and it was even better than I imagined! The space was cute and cozy and stocked with all the amenities one could want. Plus it is central to the whole town and everything you want to see. I would totally visit again!!! His dog Pelo also greeted us and made us feel welcome. That dog is the coolest dog ever... That is all.
JB's studio in Joshua Tree was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay for a 2 night getaway. It was a great location, right in between downtown and the breathtaking National Park. Watching the stars while laying on the hammock was also wonderful. JB was helpful and very welcoming to the both of us. I already recommended this studio to my friends. Thanks, JB!
JB was a great host and had everything set. Great hike recommendations. Very close to both Joshua Tree National Park and the main strip. Ended up exploring very close to the studio and had great views - will definitely come back!
