Joshua Tree Guest Studio Next To Coyote Hole And National Park

Hello! Thanks for taking a look! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all!-Jaybe

Here Is The Quick Description:

The Joshua Tree Guest Studio is a great place for a single person or a couple looking for a private, safe, clean, quiet comfortable studio apartment in a perfect location to explore Joshua Tree. It is located on the last corner of the paved roads of the Joshua Tree village, next to a canyon and very close to the Joshua Tree National Park, It is also a mile away from the highway noise, surrounded by open wilderness yet walking distance to the shops and restaurants of downtown Joshua Tree.

And Now The Details:

Inside The Studio:

The Studio itself is a completely private bedroom with its own entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, outside area and carport. The bedroom includes a queen-size bed with a memory-foam pad, firm and soft pillows, a table with two chairs, a small walk-in closet, books and games, extra shelves, heater and swamp cooler and mini-refrigerator. The all tile bathroom has a 12-foot high ceiling with a skylight and has towels, soap and shampoo. The kitchenette also has a 12 foot high ceiling with skylight and it contains a two-burner hotplate, a huge sink, a microwave oven, a toaster oven, pots and pans with cooking utensils, coffee, tea, plunger pot, hotpot, cups and plates. The outside area has a table with chairs, grill and a wood-burning stove -all great for watching the stars at night.

The Location:

The Studio really is in a perfect location for quick and easy access to both the Joshua Tree National Park (you can hike into it from your door if you would like) and the great restaurants and shops of downtown Joshua Tree (you can walk to them right down the hill one mile away). It is is literally on the boundary between civilization and wilderness.

Being on the edge of the neighborhood you will be on paved road with quick and easy access to all the great places to eat and shop in Downtown Joshua Tree. But it still feels like you are in the park. An amazing view of two bouldered hills is yours right from the patio. In the yard you are surrounded with native Desert Willows, Creosote Bushes, Jojoba and Joshua Trees. Here you might also see Roadrunners, Quail, Jackrabbits and possibly a Bobcat. Many times you will hear coyotes right nearby in the field. Also being close to the National Park provides a really dark sky at night making the Milky Way and all the shooting stars shine bright.

Coyote Hole:

A unique feature of the JT Guest Studio is that it is across the street from the wash that takes you to Coyote Hole less than a third of a mile away. Coyote Hole is an amazing hidden canyon with ancient Native American sites scattered throughout. Here you will be able to see very old petroglyphs left by humans possibly up to a thousand years ago and even possibly find pottery shards or arrowheads in the sand. This is an incredible place just to walk through and it is just right outside your front door. If you would like a tour just to point everything out that's not a problem, just ask!

What You Be Able To Do When Visiting:

-When you arrive you will quickly figure out the best things to do from a friendly person equipped with a home-made map ready to answer all your questions about the area.
-You can walk or drive down the hill just one mile to find a restaurant for dinner or get groceries to cook something yourself in the kitchenette.
-You could go on an evening walk on the trail through the petroglyphs in Coyote Hole right outside the door.
-You can spend the whole night looking at the stars under the dark skies of the Park around a fire outside.
-You can wake up in the morning sauntering down the hill to the cafe for coffee and breakfast.
-You can take a full day to explore the Joshua Tree National Park without worrying about setting up your tent or getting ready for bed in the cold dark during the Winter.
-On Saturdays you can walk to the certified farmer's market and bring back the fresh produce to cook in the kitchenette.
-You could even ride your bike on paved road from your room all over the Park and come back to a great shower and bed.

  • We loved this place ! Jaybe was so kind and helpful in exploring the area and providing us with helpful tips when we had questions. And being a gracious host, he showed us to Coyote Hole where we could see the petroglyphs close by.
We wished we could have stayed longer.

  • Great stay. Great location. The front porch was the perfect place to have coffee, play cards and watch tons of birds that dwell in the yard trees. We saw road runners, lizards, quail, and cotton tailed rabbits all from the front porch. The unit stays nice and cool despite the heat outside and JayBe was extremely responsive to emails before our stay. He even left the red porch light on for our after dark arrival which made it a cinch to see the house.

  • A perfect Joshua Tree retreat! The location is truly perfect. It is so close to the park and within walking distance to what most say is the best food in Joshua Tree (Crossroads.) It is also right at Coyote Hole, which is an amazing place to experience. What the pictures don't show you is just how gorgeous the landscaping is at this guest studio. So if you come back from the park and just want to hang out and read, it is such a relaxing and beautiful place to do so. All other pictures are accurate, including the stars! JayBe was such a helpful host and only wants his guests to be completely comfortable. Inside are sun hats, sunscreen, coffee, other helpful provisions and tons of books on the area and for entertainment. I hope to return many times and can't recommend enough.

  • My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Jaybe's guest studio. The photos and description in the listing are accurate. The studio is a short drive from the entrance to the national park and is located at the end of a road from which you can do some backcountry hiking. We found the accommodations comfortable, the environment peaceful and a little wild, as we hoped to. Jaybe was friendly, available on the two occasions we called, and respectful of our privacy. He took us on a walk with his dog on the afternoon we arrived. We only wish we had another day to spend there.

  • Perfect getaway from the city to the high desert. This studio is great for one person or a couple. Private, cute and functional, with everything you need to settle in quickly. You have to cook with electric burner and toaster oven, which we had no problem with. For those who don't want to cook, this studio is a mile away from a great health food store and the fantastic Natural Sisters Cafe. Organic healthy food is easy to obtain. Studio is also close to the Joshua Tree Park entrance, and a short walk from ancient petroglyphs. Just walk across the street and follow the trail past the wash into the gully, and look up along the cliff walls. Fantastic experience overall. JayBe is a wonderful host, told us how to get around and even lent us his backpack for a day hike into 49 Palms Oasis. The bonus on the studio for us was the enclosed outdoor area where we could use the large white walls as our temporary white boards to get some planning done for our business. Way cool to work outside and get sunshine while working like that. The weather was gorgeous, and we experienced spring in the desert. Some delicious blooming going on.

  • Spent a couple days at the guest studio in March. It's a great space. Quiet. Clean. Close to Joshua Tree national park. Close to the town of Joshua Tree. Right next to some hills you can hike.

The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. There's wifi. Outside areas are perfect for hanging out during the day or looking at the stars at night.

    Would definitely go back!

  • What a wonderful place to stay! JB is awesome. He provided tips for our trip and recommended one of the best pizza joints. The house is comfortable and has a great energy to it. Sitting outside and watching the sunset against the boulders of Joshua Tree National Park was one of the most incredible perks. At night you can see all the stars and sleep like a baby because it's so quiet. Plus, if you like to explore, Joshua Tree National Park is just steps away from JB's property. We will definitely return again to JB's guest studio!

  • Jaybe's cottage was perfect for our three day visit to Joshua Tree. It was very private and close to both town and the park. And Jayne was more than happy to share his recommendations for the area.

  • JayBe's studio is one of a kind! It's has a very personal and homely feel to it. We had an amazing time staying there during this past Valentine's weekend.

JayBe is an amazing & humble host and he even left us a box of chocolates for us! I would highly recommend staying at his studio when visiting Joshua Tree.

    Cheers :-)

  • We had a wonderful time at the studio. This was honestly one of the best experiences staying here, it's location is so central and the view is perfect. The living space is a lot bigger than we thought, and there's actually everything you would need in the kitchen - pots, pans, dish-ware, etc. Jaybe's a great host, he made sure we had everything we needed, even including a sweet gift of chocolate, granted it was a holiday. I would recommend this place to any couple looking for a private weekend in Joshua Tree.
