Enjoy the adventure and beauty of Maine from our cabin perched on the shore of quiet Gilman Pond. This was the first cabin on the pond which is a little-known gem. The lake is shallow making it a haven for birds rather than motorboats. This is an ideal location for nature lovers. Relax with a good book, paddle/fish the pond, and hike/bike the hills in nearby Carrabassett Valley.

--No visitors, guests, or pets permitted.
--Please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after sundown. This is a quiet place and sound carries easily on water.

--Use of canoe is a courtesy. Please treat it responsibly.
Hi! I love to learn about far flung places, then go there. My husband and I work full-time but try to get away to see new places as often as possible. Our travels have taken us to the Himalayas, the South Pacific, the streets of London, the Mediterranean Sea, and the mountains of eastern Europe among others. But our camp in Maine is still one of our favorite spots in the world. We enjoy meeting new people and taking the road less traveled.
Our motto as guests is to leave a place better than we found it.
We'd like to host guests who appreciate nature and respect the cabin and guidelines. We'll do our best to make you feel at home!
