I moved to Nova Scotia from Barrie, Ontario in 2015 for a more relaxed lifestyle. The landscape is stunning and the smaller towns and less traffic is definitely worth the visit to experience for yourself. With the Covid restrictions that have been in place, it has forced me to travel locally and it has definitely been worth it. I definitely miss travelling internationally. Getting off the beaten path, connecting locally with people, the culture, food and definitely the wine!!! Having a host that is in touch with the key 'local' destinations versus the tourist traps is an added bonus. As a host, I have had the opportunity to meet a variety of people and I hope I have been able to offer a welcoming and cozy space to my guests.
