The space
The Hideaway, named for its tranquillity and tucked away position, nestled in the Cornish hamlet of Rezare, a rural location overlooking the Tamar Valley (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) approximately 4 miles from the main town of Launceston. Situated near the Cornwall and Devon border, The Hideaway is a perfect location for guests to explore the plethora of attractions nearby; visit the rugged moors of Dartmoor or Bodmin, fishing villages, harbours and take afternoon tea in the many quaint tea shops, or explore the dramatic coastlines and beaches that both counties have to offer. Equally, the accommodation is for those who wish to take some time out from their busy lives and watch the sheep and cows graze happily in the adjacent fields and take in the breathtaking, panoramic views across the valley – a wonderful escape at any time of year. Nature lovers will delight in the regular visitors to the gardens and adjoining fields with roe and fallow deer, foxes, hedgehogs which inhabit the surrounding countryside. With no passing traffic, you will enjoy the sounds of our visiting House Martins, owls and bats and horses passing by on the way to the fields.

The Hideaway is ground floor accommodation throughout, attached to the main property of Trevale – a detached house situated in the heart of this sought after Cornish hamlet. There are fantastic places to eat and drink, explore or just park up for the week and hide away!
The Hideaway has a contemporary feel with a sleek, fully fitted, well equipped kitchen, complete with table and chairs (the table can be folded away and chairs stowed, if more room is needed in this living area). There is plenty of cupboard space for your shopping. The modern kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious, home-cooked meals, which can be enjoyed at the dining table or al fresco. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, fan oven, induction hob, chimney cooker hood, microwave oven, toaster, steam Iron, ironing board, laundry rack, vacuum cleaner and much, much more!
The cosy lounge area has a comfortable corner sofa where, if the rain forces you to stay inside, you can relax and watch TV, or just be still and take in the stunning views that flood in through the French doors.

The luxurious master bedroom has a king size bed, triple wardrobe, 2 chests of drawers, dressing table with stool and a tub chair, along with bedside touch-lamps, additional lighting, Dormeo pillows, all bedding is non feather, Samsung LED digital television with remote control (subtitles and audio facilities), dressing gowns and slippers (available on request), hairdryer, fan andluggage rack.
Bedroom 2 has a zip and link kingsized bed, which can be separated to offer single or twin options, a double wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside touch-lamps, Dormeo pillows (all our bedding is non feather), Samsung LED digital television with remote control (subtitles and audio facilities), dressing gowns and slippers (available on request), hairdryer, fan, luggage rack and chair.
The deluxe, spacious bathroom offers a large walk-in shower with a non-slip large shower tray and a powerful electric shower, separate bath with 2 grab rails, drawers, cupboards and further storage baskets, a Diamond XCOLLECTION® illuminated mirror (with shaver socket), heated towel rail and free toiletries.
There are secure, private gardens for guests’ sole use at The Hideaway. A Bistro style table and chairs are provided for al fresco dining and there are also 2 patio areas, one of which The Hideaway Hot Tub is situated and is private and for the guests sole use. Reclining sun chairs are located in this area. The hire of the Hot Tub is organised and paid for separately to the accommodation and in some cases, we need 24 hours notice to make the preparations, so the Hot Tub is ready for you as soon as you arrive. It certainly adds some extra luxury to your stay. The Hot Tub is paid separately to the accommodation costs and rates start from £30 per day, but please get in touch to see what offers and deals we may have running during your preferred dates. We welcome well-trained dogs at the property and there is some extra private field space, where you can exercise your dog(s). Food, water bowls and bedding are provided if needed.
