The harbour area known as the Landing is home to Molly’s Reach, famous as the setting for the popular CBC-TV series The Beachcombers. Stroll along the pier to the gazebo for great views. Just a few steps away, the seawalk skirts the harbour and winds around to the marina. On these waters you see a wide variety of craft, from fishboats to luxury yachts. Interaction with guests
Only if you need us. We provide a code to enter so it is unlikely we will meet.
Other things to note
Pets are sometimes present on the property.
Maximum 5 guests except by special arrangement.
Pets only by special arrangement.
Please refer to fireplace instructions prior to using. Read our Cottage book for information about the house, safety equipment, and the local area. Please be considerate of our neighbours, who are also our friends.
We provide facial and bathroom tissue, and paper towels, dish and dishwasher soap for all guests
At the beginning of the summer we stock the cottage with many basic items for guests' convenience such as spices, tea, food wrap, sugar and flour and much more. We are not able to personally re-supply many of these items during the summer, so ask that all guests undertake to replace a few items if they are noted to be running low, for the benefit of the next guests.
Most of the garden is on an automatic sprinkler system, but there are a few plants on or near the deck that would like hand-watering during very hot weather - these few will be identified to guests in a pre-arrival information package. We would also appreciate it if guests would put out peanuts (supplied) for our Steller Jays and Pete the squirrel- but not essential.
Our weekly rental rate includes bedding and kitchen linens. We can also provide bath and hand towels on request but ask guests to wash, dry, and fold these prior to departure.
We do not provide beach towels. Please bring some of these along and do not take our house towels to the beach.
Our cleaner changes bed linen, dusts, washes all floors and cleans the bathroom after your departure. Guests are requested to sweep the floors, leave fridge clean and empty of their items, wipe down tables, counters and appliances and leave things in general clean and tidy order. Many thanks for your help in keeping cleaning fees down, and turn-over times short and smooth!
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund plus service fees back.
We live in Port Moody BC. We are professionals with two sons attending university. We enjoy sailing, hiking, canoeing, cycling, travelling, drinking locally made beer on the cottage deck in the sun - and in the moonlight - and making improvements in the off-season. When we aren't using it ourselves, we like to share our weekend home with visitors to Gibsons and the Sunshine Coast, so they can become familiar with a place we have grown to love.
