Additional information

We provide facial and bathroom tissue, and paper towels, dish and dishwasher soap for all guests

At the beginning of the summer we stock the cottage with many basic items for guests' convenience such as spices, tea, food wrap, sugar and flour and much more. We are not able to personally re-supply many of these items during the summer, so ask that all guests undertake to replace a few items if they are noted to be running low, for the benefit of the next guests.

Most of the garden is on an automatic sprinkler system, but there are a few plants on or near the deck that would like hand-watering during very hot weather - these few will be identified to guests in a pre-arrival information package. We would also appreciate it if guests would put out peanuts (supplied) for our Steller Jays and Pete the squirrel- but not essential.

Our weekly rental rate includes bedding and kitchen linens. We can also provide bath and hand towels on request but ask guests to wash, dry, and fold these prior to departure.

We do not provide beach towels. Please bring some of these along and do not take our house towels to the beach.

Our cleaner changes bed linen, dusts, washes all floors and cleans the bathroom after your departure. Guests are requested to sweep the floors, leave fridge clean and empty of their items, wipe down tables, counters and appliances and leave things in general clean and tidy order. Many thanks for your help in keeping cleaning fees down, and turn-over times short and smooth!

Rand & Lisa's place on the Sunshine Coast was absolutely amazing. My 2 girlfriends and I stayed 3 nights enjoying the beautiful view from their outside balcony and gardens. The cottage was quaint, clean and had all the amenities you needed and more. As it is only 5 minutes from the Langford ferry, it was so convenient. The short drive to Gibsons with all the shops, restaurants, views and much more is one of my favorite things to do. The short stroll to the beach just minutes from their cottage was a bonus. I would definitely recommend this peace of paradise to anyone. I will certainly be back with family and friends.

Keats Cottage provided the perfect space for us as a young family to spend some quality time together in a quiet and relaxing environment. Lisa was a great host providing us with lots of useful information for our journey, arrival and stay and helped us with settling in her comfortable and cosy cottage. The cottage is conveniently located for exploring the beauty of the sunshine coast and there are lots of things to see and do for all ages and interests. We had a wonderful time and would happily recommend this lovely cottage to anyone.

The hosts provided extensive detail and directions in advance which was helpful. At the property there was additional information covering everything needed. The hosts have a fantastic garden, obviously well cared for and full of variety. The location is very convenient for the ferry, the beach and all that Gibsons has to offer. It's also conveniently on a bus route for visitors without a vehicle. The daily visits of a pair of blue jays and other birds add to the relaxing location. The house has a charm about it that grows on you the longer you are there. We love to cook and found a wide range of supplies on hand. We were happy to purchase additional items and leave them there for subsequent guests. We had mixed weather during our stay, but, even when there was a torrential downpour for about half and hour, the house seemed light, open and comfortable. The view of the ocean outside, looking past the lush garden added perspective and interest. We would love to stay there again.

We loved our 4 night stay at Lisa & Rand's cottage. The cottage is great: it is in very good condition, the kitchen is large and very well equipped, the deck is fantastic (large, half covered and half open sky), the gardens are beautiful and the whole space is very private. We would happily return and recommend it to others. We didn't meet Lisa & Rand in person but Lisa was responsive by email.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cottage for a 4 day getaway during May. Lisa was very prompt at responding to emails leading up to our arrival and provided us with very detailed information to help us make our stay enjoyable. The cottage was a lovely home away from home and it was very comfortable to come back to each evening after our outings each day. It is very coveniently located near Gibsons Landing where there are shops and restaurants as well as the ferry terminal. During the days we enjoyed hiking and kayaking, driving as far as Pender Hill, and in the evenings returned to the cottage to BBQ, relax, and watch Netflix. This cottage is perfect for couples or a family of up to four - there is a second bedroom with bunk beds. I would definitely recommend the cottage to others. Thanks Lisa and Rand!

We live in Port Moody BC. We are professionals with two sons attending university. We enjoy sailing, hiking, canoeing, cycling, travelling, drinking locally made beer on the cottage deck in the sun - and in the moonlight - and making improvements in the off-season. When we aren't using it ourselves, we like to share our weekend home with visitors to Gibsons and the Sunshine Coast, so they can become familiar with a place we have grown to love.
