Our delightful off-grid cabin is a great place to disconnect. The post-and-beam cabin is tucked away in a meadow that is often active with birds, butterflies, deer, and turkey. A stream runs nearby, meaning that you can listen to the sound of running water while drinking coffee or a glass of wine on the porch. We love this space and hope that you will too.

Other things to note
The cabin has no running water or electricity, but we have a number of systems in place that make stays here comfortable. There is a working toilet and sinks. You do need to fetch water in the spring outside for flushing. Water for dishes is provided in a 5-gallon tank with hand pump. We have a number of head lamps, candles, and a lantern for you to use after dark. Need a shower? We have a solar shower to use if you really want the off grid experience, or drive 10 minutes into town and use a public pay shower ($7 and generally pretty clean). We have a gas stove top and all the cookware and dishes you might need. While we do have a fridge, it currently serves as a clean space to organize food only. A cooler is also available if you need to keep things cold. All of this is described in more detail in our house manual.

Sleeping accommodations. The cabin has a loft with a full-sized bed and a trundle bed with two twin mattresses. Downstairs we have a queen-sized sofa-bed.

There are a number of great things to do nearby. The cabin is located within the Adirondack park and a quick search on the All Trails app will show you hundreds of nearby hikes. The cabin is located 15 minutes from the towns of Ticonderoga or Port Henry. Though the area is rural, there is a pizza shop and a farm stand with baked goods three minutes down the road. Further out, the towns of Middlebury, Vergennes, and Schroon Lake are 30 minutes away. We are 10 minutes from Lake Champlain and 20 minutes from Lake George. Burlington is one hour away. Montreal and Albany are two.
