This unforgettable nest high above the forest floor is your opportunity to take flight. Endless trails give you access to natural views and experiences. Snowshoes provided, then spend your evening up on the deck around the tree top propane fire pit. Cook your meals in the outdoor kitchen or on the wood burning stove in the Trapper's TENT. Eat inside or out under the sky, then curl up in the luxurious queen bed to rest up and do it again tomorrow!

The space
After two years of building, and our first year hosting, we couldn't be happier about sharing our labour of love! Be part of our journey by giving us listing suggestions and any ideas to improve the Fir and Feather experience. Help us provide some magic.

MUST READ thoroughly before booking.
** We want all our guests to be sure this booking is right for you.
** You are booking an off-grid TENT high above the ground with a private outhouse. If you enjoy camping, this may be one of your most amazing experiences ever!

ACCESS to The Fir and Feather Trappers Treehouse requires:
- gentle off road driving (4 wheel drive best in winter)
- forest walking (5 minutes)
- bridge crossing - no ladder to climb (although not a suspension bridge,
bridge swaying is natural due to the engineering required to ensure there are no binding connections to the moving treehouse platform)
IN COLDER SEASONS:
- start and stoke the wood burning stove for your heat, both day and night (with a little buddy heater to take the chill off while you get it going)
- wood is provided but you may need to chop smaller pieces or make kindling depending on your length of stay. You will also need to wake up during the night to add wood, if you want to maintain warmth for the morning.

We are Claire and Matt. Having three grown children, we wanted a special place to come together and retire from the city. Golden, BC is that magical place, and Moonraker Mountain provides us with easy access to the activities we love: biking, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, climbing, canoeing, fishing, swimming, white water rafting, paragliding... you name it!
