Nicola’s sailboat is nice, clean, but in the wrong marina. The town is wonderful, a real authentic Italian with very few tourists. But the boatyard next to this marina is very noisy, if you don’t mind the sound of hammers on a half built cruise ship, or the safety beeping of a li…

Response from Nicola:
I thought a lot before writing this answer and i would not have wanted to do it. I am willing to accept any criticism, even if harsh and bad, getting inspiration to improve myself. But this has the bitter taste of the revenge: You presented yourself saying that you are an experienced sailboat captain but immediately revealed your total incompetence by confusing the Beaufort scale with the wind speed in knots (a mistake that is practically impossible but that could cost the life). The days when you came there was a weather alert from the Coast Guard and you questioned this (anyone can consult the weather service database at any time to see if it is true). Despite this you claimed to navigate and I, being busy elsewhere, to not give disappointments to you, have made available to you, not only one but, two skippers one of which is among the most titled in this area and the other is an excellent skipper as well as sailing race officer (their credentials are available). Whoever goes to sea knows that the weather forecast is always of a general nature and that it is always good to trust the forecasts of the locals who can read the signs of nature in that precise place. With them you have made an excursion to Capri and, while near to Positano (it is at few miles) there was a small whirlwind, (it is possible to verify it in the chronicles of that day) they have imposed a precise return time and in this way have brought you in absolute safety and tranquillity, if not the fact that your daughter suffered from seasickness. Up to that moment you had asked to stay on board 2 days more, knowing that the following days the weather would have been ok, but when you realized that it would be a pain for your daughter you said you wanted to leave because the port was noisy (but you should not have spent the other days sailing in other ports?) and you left the boat without offering any compensation for the days that you had actually booked. Despite this I had avoided writing your review because I do not like talking badly about people and I would have accepted your bad review if you, with subtle abilities, had not mentioned another identical boat inviting those who read not to book mine but that other. I am therefore obliged to state that this model of boat was not built to have air conditioning and, if is possible that it was true that someone did, such a modification would result in the immediate seizure of the boat as it would not meet the criteria of project and therefore of safety and stability. I do not understand your resentment towards us: maybe it will be because my skippers have unmasked your incompetence as a sailor in the presence of your children? In any case, I feel compelled to exhort you to do an examination of conscience and to avoid in the future to take the command of any boat (if you ever did) if not after attending an appropriate preparation course.

The greatest experience!!!!! Not only is this the best way to explore the Amalfi coast (constant ocean views, do not have to pack up suitcases every time you want to go to a new town, great experiences you would wouldn't be able to do going by land, and your commute between towns…

We had a great 3 days on the boat, it is bigger inside than we thought it would be and clean! It was nice to have a full bathroom and sitting space inside along with a stocked kitchen. There was also a full shower/washroom at the marina but we never needed to use it. We were gree…

Lello (our skipper) was good company and very capable. We loved the sailing aspect. The restaurants suggested and chosen for us were great for food, wine and views. Swimming off the boat was refreshing and convenient. We were given many tips on where to visit which made for some…

Nicola's boat is really cool. It provides a completely different perspective on the Sorrento area - away from the masses in a real, working port, but within easy reach of everywhere. It is a yacht - not a luxury hotel - and Castellammare port includes a boat building yard which…
