Where you’ll be

Cumbria, England, United Kingdom

Pear Tree Cottage is located in the very heart of Millnthorpe, tucked quietly just behind the main town square. You are steps away from a bustling community - including town shops, a health food store, various cafes, a legendary Indian restaurant (No 3 Curry House) and Chinese takeaway, 3 country pubs, a pharmacy and much more. On Friday's, walk out of the cottage and the square is turned into a local market with local food and drink.

Speaking of food… Feeling fancy? L’Enclume, Simon Rogan’s 2** Michelin star restaurant, is in nearby Cartmel – just 20 minutes drive away. There’s also the delicious Beetham Nurseries garden cafe within walking distance, plus the Wheatsheaf which dates back to 1609. To name just a handful!

Outside of the main square, you are just one minute walk away from the beautiful deer park. Head over there with your walking boots to have a lovely walk and see the deers relaxing.

You are a few minutes drive away from the Arnside Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) - where there is ample walking to be had. Walk between country pubs around the coastline of Arnside and Silverdale.

Drive just a little further, and you can easily reach the famous Lake District areas including Windermere, Bowness, Kendal, Ambleside, Grasmere and more. The adventure possibilities in the Lake District are limitless.
