Small house with a very central location. It is in a quiet neighbourhood in our garden, which is connected to the Kloster park.

From the windows you will have a view towards two of the seven mountains that surrounds Bergen, apart from our neighbors gardens.

The house is 40 square meters over two floors. In the ground floor you will find the bedroom with a 140cm bed, and bathroom.
In the upper floor a living room with sofa converting to 140cm bed, and kitchen.

The space

Bedroom with 140cm double bed and bathroom in ground floor.
Combined kitchen and living room in upper floor, with sofa converting to 140 cm bed.

Guest access

The whole house is yours!
And you can enjoy the garden if you like. There is a nice view from the top.

Interaction with guests

Sonja and I live in the house next to this one and we will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Other things to note

To come to the house, there are steps one floor up in my house, to get to a stone step in the garden.
This can be a challenge for elderly people, or other who have reduced mobility.
If so, you should look up "top location in beautiful street" which is in the basement with no stairs.

Well equipped comfortable and neat. Bergen at your doorstep yet tucked back in a guiet courtyard. Super duper.

What a quirky, charming place! My wife and my infant son, and my in-laws stayed at Birger's place and were very comfortable. Birger let us leave our bags a little past our check out time. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Lots of stairs to climb - which add to the charm but could be difficult for those who have mobility issues.

Wonderful location with all advertised amenities. The house was spotless, cozy and comfortable. A very quiet and relaxing stay. I ended up on crutches so we asked Birger to arrange a cab for our departure. He got up early to see us off and directed the taxi right to the front door...normally you would walk to the end of the street. An excellent host!

The house is a very traditional house in norway. We met birger's son kim and he showed us around the place. It had everything we needed.

What a fantastic place. A super cozy, two-floor building, through winding streets in a quiet part of town. The interior is beautiful, well furnished and cared for, with great amenities. From the top floor you can see the roofs of the neighborhood, stacked and close, and the tiny alleys full of lush moss, birds and cats. In the distance you can see the mountains. Finally, Birger was a great host, welcoming, friendly, and very communicative throughout. I couldn’t recommend a stay here more.

Beautiful home in the center of town. Walking distance (about 20 minutes) from the train. Wish we had more time in this amazing town. Beth I was hospitable and charming.

This house is great and all facilities are given and I found the place very comfortable. Very homely atmosphere. The house is a bit of a walk from Bergen sentrum but it is a nice and a great mountain view is also available from this house.

I am newly retired after working in the oil industry in Norway most of my life. I am born and raised in Bergen and can recommend sights or hikes for you.

I also love travelling and I have been to the south pole and Greenland to mention some of the extremes.

I also like cooking and I am very interested in getting to know recipes from different cultures.
