Light filled, quiet bedroom on the third floor of our Tudor house in the historic neighborhood of College Hill. Second bedroom available for two more guests in the same party. Quaint private bath with tub (no shower). Wonderful views through the treetops. Wake to songbirds in the morning.

The space

This third floor room is simple and tastefully decorated, with room to hang clothing in the armoire. The queen sized bed has a tempurpedic mattress. Linens, cotton sheets, and duvet are provided. Views are through the treetops of enormous oaks, and the entire space is relaxing and peaceful. A fan is available, or central air/heat if necessary.

Another adjacent room is available with a double bed. This room can accommodate another guest or two, allowing accommodation for up to 4 people in the same party. Please note, if the second room is used, there is an additional cost of $30 per person, even if only one person is staying in the first room.

We are not handicap accessible - there is a fairly steep flight of stairs from the driveway up to the house, and two more flights inside to get to the third floor.

Two friendly french bulldogs add to the ambiance at no extra charge.

Guest access

Guests can enjoy the shared living room, and dining room. There are also porches in the front and back of the house, available for guests, and perfect for reading or relaxing.

Household wifi password available upon arrival.

Interaction with guests

We love getting to know our guests, but if you prefer to have time to yourself and don't want to chat, that's okay too.

Sam and I are happy to give recommendations for restaurants, things to see, places to hike, etc.

Limited kitchen privileges (you can store things in the fridge, make tea/coffee, etc).

Please be tidy. No meals in the bedroom. General decorum expected.

Other things to note

As described, there is no stand-up shower in the private bathroom. This is due to the configuration of the knee wall/roof: there is no room for a full shower. The tub is a deep antique, perfect for a good soak.

There are stairs from the road to the house. Within the house, there are two flights to the third floor.

An amazing home in a quiet historic neighbourhood! Two lovely doggies who I wanted to bring home with me. I barely got a chance to spend time with my host, and I never met the hostess, but everything was clean, homey, and just interesting! Even with the horrible heat outside, the room up in the eaves was cool & comfortable. I will definitely come back, even if just to meet Annie & enjoy Easton more!

Sam and Annie have a wonderful home filled with hospitality. We loved the third floor accommodations up in the tree tops. It is a sanctuary for the traveller. Sam and Annie have thought of everything to make an overnight guest comfortable. Most of all the conversation over morning coffee was great. Sam and Annie have a very nice setting on College Hill. By what is written in their guest book, others have enjoyed their stay just as much. I would encourage anyone traveling in the area to consider this airbnb. It is minutes from interesting shops and restaurants. And a short drive over the Delaware River to New Jersey. Thank you for the respite Sam and Annie. We loved it.

It is a beautiful home, beautifully decorated, with an incredibly comfortable (memory foam) bed! We really enjoyed meeting Annie and Sam and plan to stay there again when we visit our daughter at college. It was also perfect having two separate rooms so that she could have her own room too.

I am a teacher and love beekeeping, hiking, books, sailing and travel. I have a particular interest in art and history, as well as sustainability and urban renewal. I enjoy exploring the new - and pondering the old. My husband and I have four children - one still at home, and three who are off doing things in the world. We also have two wonderful french bulldogs, who make us laugh every day.
