Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
This beautiful home was built in 1923. It once served as the carriage house and living quarters for the nearby Custer house, but now its a stand-alone property. It is centrally located just three blocks from the downtown square and within walking distance of many restaurants and Knox College.

The space
This is a small space, 1100 square feet. downstairs is the newly remodeled kitchen, and living area with a large smart TV (no cable) and comfortable leather couch along with other seating.
Upstairs there are two small bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, a small newly remodeled bathroom, and an office space.
it's in a charming and quiet old neighborhood, with large trees, and many Victorian homes.
The stairs are steep, and the space is not suitable for small children, or people who have trouble with stairs.

I am from the Galesburg community, and I graduated from Knox College. I returned to Galesburg in 2015, and purchased my first home in the area. As a frequent traveler, who enjoys the experience of an Airbnb, I believe my convenient spaces are a welcome retreat for people visiting family, or attending events in the area. I host two Airbnb's, the "Custer Carriage House Downtown Galesburg" an entire home, and the "En Suite in Historic Home in Galesburg" which is a private space. I love to promote Galesburg history, and I am currently a board member of the Galesburg Civic Art Center.
