A unique spacious 2 bedroom apartment located on historic South Franklin St, in the heart of Wilkes University campus and downtown Wilkes Barre. Walking distance to many restaurants and activities, FM Kirby Center, West Moreland Club, Mary Stegmaier Mansion, Movies 14, and Kings College. Mins away from Rt 81 and PA Turnpike 476. The space
A beautiful historic mansion, with 22ft high ceilings and guest will have entire apt to themselves. A large double wooden and glass door will be your entry way into the vestibule area of building. Apt 1a has a very large living area with a Victorian era feel, large framed windows and large screen TV and a desk for work space that faces Wilkes Univ. campus. There is a full kitchen with many drawers, all appliances and a washer and dryer. Master bedroom is very large with a TV, dresser, lots of space and an old fashioned and romantic feel for sure. In the front 2nd bedroom, a light and airy room with dresser and closet, and has beautiful high windows as well creating a warm and fuzzy feeling when you walk inside. A very modern full bath with lots of hanging towel space. There is a private deck attached to the back kitchen area with a patio dining set and may be used as way in and out of apartment.

There is a large free parking area directly behind the building. You may park one or two cars in the off street parking area. There is also off street meter parking and meter parking when visiting other areas in the city. The apartment is within walking distance to eatery’s, pubs, Movie’s 14 cinema and shopping, not to mention Boscov’s!
You can walk, get a taxi, Uber, or bus to get around. Martz trailways bus company is close and offers longer distant fares. AVP airport is 20 mins away.

Other things to note
Guest have the entire apartment to themselves. For extended stays longer than a week, we can provide house keeping services to clean the unit and change the bedding for an additional fee of $40 at any time during your stay. Please just let me know and I will take care of the request.
