This rustic, handmade treehouse is built right over the rapids of the mighty Mississippi river in Lanark County, in the Canadian province of Ontario. The glamping treehouse is nestled among oaks and cedars, 22 feet off the ground at its highest point

The space
The Treehouse is built almost exclusively from natural and reclaimed materials. It has it's own unique look and feel and has often been described as a little slice of paradise.

Guest access
On-site you'll find a fridge, microwave, hot plate, BBQ, sink, composting toilet and hot water outdoor shower. During the cold months we have a pellet stove for heat and we bring in drinking and washing water.
There is a comfy lounge on the property and there are loads of board games, books and DVDs. Linens and towels are provided so all you really need to bring is food.

Other things to note
Since the Treehouse is on the water, most of the activities are aquatic, such as rafting, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and kayaking, etc. The region also offers great trekking trails to explore by bike or foot. There is lots of room for lounging in and around the rapids and it is easy to sit right in the rapids. There are many swings, hammocks and seats all over the site so you can pick your favorite spot to lounge and watch the world pass by.

The address of the Treehouse is :
1414 Sheridan Rapids Rd.
Lanark, ON
K0G 1K0

When you arrive simply drive down into the lower parking lot and follow the signs to the Treehouse. If we are not around to greet you, go ahead and make yourself at home!

Small children are very welcome however since this is a treehouse please be aware that there are height dangers and little ones will need to be constantly supervised.

During your stay
The Treehouse is located quite close to the mai house but is definitely a separate space. Generally if I am not here to meet you, just go ahead into the Treehouse and make yourself at home. No key required!
