Haus Am Rennerbühel is situated upon a quiet small hillock in the valley of Gosau-Hintertal.
This position affords the house a unique and dramatic panoramic view of the Gosaukamm Mountains as well as open views across the Gosau valley including its three distinctive churches.
Gosau is one of the main ski villages of the Dachstein West ski region – the largest in Upper Austria with over 140 kilometers of ski piste.
The Dachstein region is a UNESCO Natural and Cultural World Heritage site (website hidden).
Access to the house with its breathtaking views is via an outside covered stairway that takes you up the side of the hillock and provides cover from the elements.
The house is approximately 100 m sq. and comprises of ground floor, first and second floors.
There is a secure garage that can currently be used as a storage area for ski equipment in the winter as well as a cycle and water sports equipment storage facility in the summer.
There is a free parking area for the house next to the garage, which can accommodate 2- 3 cars.
An attractive garden to the rear of the house has a covered seating area and guests can make use of the wooden garden tables and chairs which are stored inside.
The house is heated by modern electric infrared wall panel heaters, which are in all the rooms and communal areas.
The heat panels distribute warmth evenly indoors and create a healthy comfortable environment without creating any noise or circulating dust and pollen. Each area has its own independent thermostatic digital controller to regulate the heat for that particular environment.
The house also benefits from having a beautiful traditional tiled karchelofen located in the dining room and lounge area.
The modern kitchen is large and open plan with a separate solid wooden countertop and benefits from plenty of cupboard and storage space.
The kitchen provides guests with all the desired cooking appliances ,crockery, cutley and cookware for a comfortable family stay which includes:
Large fridge freezer
Electric induction 4 ring hob
Electric fan oven
A modern integrated washing/drying machine is located in an alcove of the kitchen and iron ironing board and clothes drier is also available for use by guests.
Guests can relax in the cosy, comfortable , lounge area, which has two large sofas and several scatter cushions.
There is a new LED TV with a satellite connection to free channels as well as a DVD and apple TV box that can be used to access films on Netflix and apple iTunes if you hold an account for either. A good selection of books, games and DVD,s are supplied for use by guests.
There is a toilet and washroom situated on the first floor adjacent to the hallway that has additional space for guests to put outdoor clothing.
There is also additional storage and coat hanging areas in the marble tiled entrance hall on the ground floor that has a large coat rack and can be used for boot and ski storage if necessary.
The sleeping accommodation is very comfortable with 3 bright double bedrooms furnished with 1 king size bed 1 double bed and 2 twin beds.
Two of the bedrooms enjoy charming beamed ceilings and fabulous views. Of the mountains. The third room that has the twin beds enjoys a garden view towards the Gosau valley. There are two foldaway beds for use in the bedrooms or lounge area.
There is a small key safe situated at the front door should you expect to arrive late a key can be left for you by housekeeping.
The house has Wi-Fi throughout to enable you to stay in touch whilst you are away.
All rooms and communal areas have smoke alarms as well as fire extinguishers on all floors and an escape ladder situation in the top floor bedroom.
No smoking in the house.
