Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Pine antiques and floor, mid-century modern, marble bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Open kitchen and dining room. Farm tables on 2 decks in summer and 3 french doors. Orchard and 100-year old olive trees. Private gated entrance and 2-acre property fully fenced. Locally made fresh croissants. Cafe Collage, operates Thursday-Sunday from 5-8 PM, on property for take-out and private events, in a separate building. Monday-Wednesday you have the property to yourself.

The space
For the creative writer or artist, this cottage has a very special creative energy. We have experienced it ourselves and are excited to share it with our guests. The space is perfect for one or two couples who want to get away to the countryside. Two bedrooms, each with queen beds, are rented to family or friends traveling together who will share the bathroom, kitchen, dining, and living rooms.

Guest access
You have entire cottage to yourself, including all of the outdoor decks, living room, kitchen, bath, and two bedrooms depending on your needs and number of people in your party.

You can book a private dining event at Cafe Collage, also on the property, if your stay overlaps with a Thursday-Sunday evening. Or you can place a take out order to enjoy in the cottage.

Your stay includes locally made fresh pastries and individual french press coffee and tea.

Other things to note
In addition to the cottage you will enjoy, there are two separate buildings on the property. One of them is the new home of Cafe Collage. Salim moved the cafe into this smaller, more intimate space for take out and private events, Thursday-Sunday evenings, 5-8 PM. The other building is the Sew Off the Grid sewing workshop of Anne (@sewoffthegrid).

We offer a 10% discount for stays of a full week. For stays over one week we offer weekly house cleaning, $65 per cleaning.

Neighbourhood highlights

Our Airbnb cottage shares the same 2-acre property with Cafe Collage, Yuba County's best Mediterranean restaurant. Our cafe, which, for 23 years, has served from another location nearby, will make its home on this property we own. Given the change in our business due to COVID, from dine-in to take-out, it was our dream to bring the cafe to the property we own, which was finally made possible. Cafe Collage provides take-away dinner Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 5-8 PM and private events and dinners on request. Our immediate neighbors include Gideon and Saron at Clos Saron Winery, Grant & Marie Winery, Renaissance Vineyard & Winery, Frenchtown Farms Winery, and Apollo Olive Oil. We live a couple of miles up the road on which the property sits.

Anne leads sewing events in the workshop behind the cottage. You can see photos @sewoffthegrid. She grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and went to college in North Carolina - that's why we say "Southern is spoken here" in addition to French, Greek, and Arabic. Salim is the chef/owner for 27 years, of Cafe Collage, @cafecollage, a Mediterranean restaurant. He grew up in Tunisia. We produce award winning olive oil which we sell at the cafe.
