My beautiful apartment with designer furniture gives you the true feeling of bohemian life. With high ceilings and bright white walls you get the feeling of a beautiful vast space to live your dream in.

The space

The hundred square metres of the apartment are divided into a bedroom with a king size bed, a living room with an expandable sofa, a big kitchen which is also a darkroom, a new bathroom with a massage bath tub and a hallway with a yellow bicycle and a wine collection in the middle. The flat is located in the ground floor of an old building from the beginning of the 20th century which makes it comfortably cold even in the hot Prague summers.

The bright living room includes a comfortable working area with a designer desk, an old wardrobe, a sofa that expands into a queen size bed and an interesting book shelf full of books that can help you spend a rainy day in Prague. The walls are decorated by various artwork by different contemporary artists.

Every day you can enjoy your morning coffee and croissant from the nearby bakery while the sun shines through the big balcony door in the spacious kitchen. You can prepare any kinds of tasteful meals with fresh ingredients from the saturday's farmers market or even develop some photographs - the kitchen has everything you need, from a set of sharp knives to a decanter.

After a long day in the city you can prepare yourself a bath in the recently renovated bright bathroom with a massage bathtub, two sinks, a big mirror and floor heating if the summer sun is not enough. A set of clean soft towels will be there waiting for you.

The bedroom is the darkest and quietest part of the apartment, presenting a beautiful handmade old wardrobe and a king size bed with fresh bright sheets. Above the bedroom there is a second sleeping area with a queen size bed.

BEWARE...The apartment is not as described in the listing. It's in a completely rundown state, and we found the whole house extremely dirty. The toilet seat had pee and poo stains. The bath tub was not functional and was slimy and scaly (definitely not cleaned for weeks). There were used soaps and razors lying all around the bath and wash basin. The bedroom windows have no curtains (we saw some roller blinds but couldn't operate them. I was travelling with my kids and in-laws and found the place not hygienic or safe. The floor has nails sticking out next to the sofa bed. The 2nd bedroom is actually a bunk in the only bedroom with low headspace. Hence not suitable for adults or safe for kids. The host, Dusan, wasn't around and the lady, Spela, who checked us in was rude. I complained about the state of affairs to the host and he argued that the house is old and every this is fine as no other guests have complained. This shows the lack of responsibility the host has. We notified this to Airbnb and they helped us arrange alternative booking. We checked out early in the morning. To make things worse we left a watch and some items while checking out. We requested the host if he can arrange some time for us to pick up the items. With extreme difficulty and pleadings the check-in lady agreed to meet us in the flat in the afternoon. When we went to pick the items the lady, Spela, was extremely angry that the host would not pay her due to our complain. Spela pushed my wife and slammed the door on her fingers. She verbally abused both me and my wife. I was almost going to call the police, but my wife insisted that we leave the matter there as our kids and in-laws were waiting outside. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE EVERYONE TO STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. THE HOST IS ABSOLUTELY IRRESPONSIBLE AND THE CHEAP LADY HE HAS HIRED IS DANGEROUS.

Dušan's place is spacious, comfortable, quiet and is walking distance from everything Prague has to offer. There are some fantastic restaurants just around the corner, or you could cook in the well-equipped kitchen.

All in all it was a good experience. The house is in a great location. It's a worm and comfortable house. We felt at home there. The place is going through a few renovations. We didn't know before hand so we were a bit surprised.

Dušan's apartment was spacious for 4 adults, and in a great location in Mala Strana, about 15 minute walk from the Mala Strana square or the Charles bridge, and a 20-30 minute walk to the Castle entrance. It's quiet at night, and is so much calmer than other parts of Prague! The apartment feels cool and artsy, with great art and photographs on the walls. It's in an older building so the floors and walls are a bit dusty and creaky. We had some trouble with the check in time and finding the correct location with our gps, and Dušan's friend who was checking us in was very patient and kind.
