We always greet you at arrival, and see you off.
This is a two-story, detached coach house with nearly 700 square feet (70 sq. meters) of living space. We pride ourselves in making your stay with us as perfect as it can be. We are always improving the coachhouse, making it better so you can enjoy the space.

Now equipped with Apple TV for your entertainment, and a new 32-inch superthin TV.
Bell Fibe Satellite TV with over 250 channels, including a dozen sports channels.
We also change the cushions and decor every season.
UPON YOUR ARRIVAL -
We greet you warmly upon arrival and show you all the ins and outs of the coachhouse. To help welcome you, you will find a complimentary bottle of wine, and pastries or croissants from the award-wining caterers, Daniel et Daniel (they cater receptions for the Queen when she is in town; they are just up the street from us, so try them out).
THE SPACE -
Luscious interiors (always being upgraded) include all amenities you would expect in your home of a grand hotel, and more!!! Many custom-made features, tasteful and rich decor: bed, tables and desk were all custom-made and crafted for the space. Everything designed to make your stay the most comfortable possible.
The private coachhouse is on two floors, with access to a beautifully landscaped backyard (shared) with a professional gas BBQ (May to October). Eat inside or outside. So sit back and sip wine on a nice sunny day; or after visiting the local butcher and enjoy a nice meal al fresco.
We just added a beautiful handmade, wrought-iron day bed outside for your please. 78" long so spacious enough for two to curl up (foto to follow soon).
The coachhouse sleeps 4 comfortably.
THE FIRST FLOOR -
The first floor contains everything you need to cook up a storm and enjoy a nice, relaxing meal. It has a fully-equipped kitchen and eating area; coffee maker, toaster. We offer you complimentary coffee and a nice variety of teas and tisanes. The refrigerator is stocked with all the basics: mustard, ketchup, various mustards (a selection of DIjon mustards we brought back from ..... Dijon!), butter, mayonnaise and more.
Kitchen includes all new appliances: dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator and freezer; includes all dishes, all pots and pans. We have a variety of spices; salts from around the world (see in pictures); pepper; and various olive oils (see in pictures) from our travels around the world. Equipped to cook up a storm with professional/chef knives. We love food and the coach house reflects this. So choose olive oil from Lebanon, Greece, Italy, Chili or Peru!!
THE SECOND FLOOR -
The second floor is an open, loftstyle living space, with a living area (with pull out couch that sleeps 2), with specially-designed/handmade down throw cushions, and a sleeping area with a beautiful queensize, hand-made wrought-iron bed (made specifically for the coachhouse by local craftsman), with hand-made bedside tables. It has a beautiful skylight through which you can see the stars on a nice night.
Bed and couch each have 4 ridiculously-comfortable pillows.
On top of it all, all bed sheets are new, 600-threadcount, freshly laundered and ironed each time, with nicely starched pillow cases. In the winter, enjoy a nice warm down duvet (in the spring and fall, we offer a lighter down duvet blanket).
THE BATHROOM -
For the bathroom, we have the softest towels, hand and face cloths (1 set per guest), soaps (body wash for men and women) and shampoos, shaving cream, air freshener, toilet paper, and blow dryer. We also include the necessities for women to take off their makeup (and men too - hey its 2016!!)
You will find a variety of creams and some facial masks. So at the end of the day, if you want to relax and give yourself a mask, on-hand you will find individual-sized packets of various facial masks. So moisturize and mask !!!
WASHER AND DRYER -
The coachhouse also includes a washer and a dryer. So step out on the town with freshly laundered clothes. There is also an iron available.
WEATHER NOT COOPERATING?
If the weather is not cooperating, don't worry. Stay in and play with one of our board games, or snuggle up and watch a movie. You can choose from over 150 DVDs, something for everyone, even the children.
FOR BUSINESS TRAVELERS -
We have everything you need. Umbrella, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, laundry facilities (for an extra fee, we will be happy to wash and iron your clothes), shoe shining box. Just check in, and leave the rest to us.
STAYING FOR MORE THAN A WEEK?
We will bring you fresh towels, and freshly laundered and ironed bed sheets and pillow cases at the beginning of the second week (and every week thereafter).
THE NEIGHBORHOOD -
There are several award-wining pubs within 2 blocks in any directions (House on Parliament was voted best Pub food in Toronto; The Stout was voted Best Pub in Toronto. There is also great sushi, great Thai food (Toronto NOW magazine and BlogTO rated Sukho Thai the best in Toronto and that's 2 blocks away from the house). There are 2 great grocery stores 2 blocks away, a butcher, and so much more.

We live next to a public library, and an amazing state-of-the-art indoor city pool (built in 2015), and admission is free.
And of course, we are only 1 km away from Riverdale Farm, so bring your children and visit the goats, ducks, pigs, horses, chickens and more.
PLEASE, NO ACTIVITIES OF A COMMERCIAL NATURE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES. NO PARTIES or receptions of any kind. No more than 6 individuals in the coachhouse at any time. If you have friends coming over that exceeds this number, please discuss it with us prior to booking. Please see house rules.
Guests have access to the entire coachhouse, and we hope you will enjoy the backyard. Buy steaks at the local butcher and kick up the BBQ (May-October only).
You have your own entrances to the yard, and the coachhouse is completely separate from the main house. We are available at anytime to answer your questions. If there is something missing, let us know.
We offer free wifi. Password given upon arrival.
Interaction with guests
Interactions with the hosts is at the guests' discretion. We are happy to share a glass of wine or to leave the guests to explore on their own. We respect your privacy needs.

Other things to note
The coachhouse was beautifully renovated in the summer of 2015, with great attention to details.
CHECK-IN: FROM 3 PM TO 5 PM. But we are flexible. If your flight arrives later, let us know.
Our home is in walking distance to Ryerson University, Eaton Centre, and a 10-minute direct trip on the streetcar to the University of Toronto or the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). Also close to Allen Gardens with magnificent greenhouses. A few yards away from the Children's Book Bank (free books for children).
We are on the Dundas street car lane (a one-minute walk) or the College street car lane (another minute walk). Both lines are no more than a 5-minute ride to two major subway hubs).

We can arrange for a private massage (receipts given by an RMT). We have our own table and wonderful oils. Therapist will come to the coachhouse. Book a romantic couple's massage too. See therapist's website here: (URL HIDDEN)
We are just over a few km from the beaches (Cherry Beach). So use some of our beautiful Turkish beach towels and head out to the beach. We have complimentary sun screens in case you forgot yours.
If you really love beaches, then we suggest you take a 15-minute streetcar ride to The Beach, an east-end Toronto neighborhood.
Our home is your home away from home, but be respectful of the property. Then enjoy yourself and have fun!! This said, here are a few house rules.
This property is pet-friendly; no smoking allowed inside the coachhouse, but feel free to smoke outside. We provide ashtrays.
No loud noises outside after 11 pm (city by-law).
No more than 4 guests sleeping over. Anyone above this, please talk to us first.
Keys to the coachhouse must be returned upon check out. There is a $25 fee per set of lost keys. Key chains are made for us by a local artist.
No activity of a commercial nature allowed on the property.
We do not allow parties, receptions or gatherings of any kind, large or small. If you plan to have a few family members or friends drop by for a short visit or dinner, by all means do so. Just give us the head's up first.
ID needs to be shown upon arrival; name on ID must match the name of the person who made the reservation.
We are a fun couple who love wine, good food and good friends. I am a university professor, and my partner is a real estate photographer and freelance journalist.
We are perfect together. I love to garden; Tyrone, well, loves having a nice garden :) I loves to cook, he loves to eat.
We both enjoy pop culture, music, and movies, and traveling all over the world.
Our goal is to make your stay nothing short of exceptional.
