Interaction with guests

My name is Rachel, I am originally from the Boston area, but I have been living in Brooklyn for 7 years now. I am in my early 30s, a filmmaker and performance artist, and I also teach creative writing to older adults in nursing homes.
I live here in this apartment with my boyfriend Jordan, who is a cinematographer, and also works as a camera assistant for film and TV.
When we are home, we love cooking meals to share with friends, listen to NPR, we like to read all kinds of books and watch movies that are a little strange.
Out of home, we love to travel. Jordan, and I did a cross country road trip last January, traveling from New York, down south, to California and back and we are currently planning a trip to Vietnam and Thailand this upcoming winter.
I write, direct, and produce my own short films, often times collaborating with Jordan, and together we also host a monthly Bring Your Own Film screening series, an open mic for filmmakers.
We love hosting people in our home through airbnb. We like to be respectful of your privacy and give you space when you stay with us, but also love to welcome you to the city and help you have the best trip possible.
