Discover the best downtown Kingston has to offer from this centrally located loft. Step out your front door + into Kingston’s thriving restaurant scene, local shops, Queen’s University, the Leon Centre + more from the comfort of The Alford Building.

The Alford Building combines quaint historical elements with thoughtful modern design. This loft features high ceilings + big windows that overlook our bustling city’s core, filling the space with natural light all day long.

The space

Guest access
Guests can enjoy access to the entire space, except for one locked utility closet in the master bedroom.

Other things to note
Built in 1852, this publicly recognized building was owned by the Alford family who operated a department store and a sporting goods store out of this space for nearly 70 years. For many Kingstonians, Alford Sporting Goods was *the* place to purchase everything from the newest pair of Nikes to camping gear + everything in between.

In 2010, the building came under new ownership + underwent extensive restoration. In this loft, you’ll find relics of the past colliding with comforts of the present; original exposed limestone + hardwood flooring, + restored photographs from the days of Alford Sporting Goods alongside contemporary interior design, appliances + creature comforts.
