The space
Located 14klms east of Tumut in the Goobarragandra Valley the views from each of the cottages are stunning with 180 degree views of the river and hills. We are Pet Friendly and a minimum of a 2 night stay, so don't forget to bring your dog along with you.

Guest access
With 2 miles of river frontage you can access the river easily from your cottage. We have several private sandy beaches great for the kids to play, rapid areas to lie in to get a great massage, inner tubes to go rafting down the river and then there is the fly fishing for brown and rainbow trout.
In the evening enjoy a magical sunset, watch the stars under crystal clear skies then curl up to sleep to the rippling sounds of the river.

Want to learn FLY FISHING FOR TROUT? then spend a half day with Dave Ducker's fly fishing lessons and guiding. Learn about: rod set up. casting, Entomology, Flies (usage), stream craft and equipment required. Call David or Deb to organize.

The Tumut Region has something for everyone. In summer visit Blowering Dam where Ken Warby set the world water speed record, just 10 minutes from Elm Cottage. Here you can go water skiing, windsurfing and it is a great spot for fishing enthusiasts with rainbow trout, brown trout, golden perch, cod and refin to be caught.

Kosciusko National Park is 690,000 hectares of diverse natural landscape. Bushwalking, mountain bike riding, picnicking, fishing, caving, car touring, canoeing, and horse riding are just some of the activities you can undertake within the Park. Include a visit to Yarrangobilly Caves and discover some of the most beautiful and ornate caves in Australia. Take a guided or self guided cave tour, then take a swim in the thermal pool (a pleasant 27 degrees .
Go Horse riding for one, two or three hour rides or take a half or full days ride through the foothills of the Snowy Mountains enjoying the natural scenery and wildlife along the way.

In winter Mt. Selwyn snowfields, are just an hour from the property. providing breathtaking winter scenery and some of the best ski runs Mother Nature has. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with service that makes you feel at home and totally modern facilities. Toboganning and snowboarding a must.

Enjoy a campfire by the river, play a game of cricket along the flood plain, feed the poddy lambs in May, June & July plus feed our pet calf K-Tee. Take your dog for some great walks around the property
