We had a fantastic time staying at Giulia's place in Verona. The location is just perfect for exploring the city and the apartment is even more stylish and spacious than it looks in photos.
Our flight from London arrived an hour late but Giulia's colleague Anna kept in touch by text, met us from the bus and then escorted us to the apartment and gave us lots of local information.
Our priority when looking for accommodation in Verona was somewhere with facilities for our 20 month old and Giulia's place had it all. The cot was set up for us, along with a highchair and change mat. Plus the free Netflix was very handy as he could watch Peppa Pig while we got ready in the morning just like he does at home!
The apartment is up two flights of stairs but we were also able to safely store his buggy in the covered courtyard at ground level. This was incredibly convenient. We were also supplied with milk, fruit juice, cereal and snacks which kept us going until we made it to the supermarket (less than ten mins walk). We found a great playground at Arsenale (also a short walk) but spent most of our days enjoying the food, drink and atmosphere around Piazza Erbe. There is a fantastic cocktail bar called Archivio a couple of minutes walk from the apartment too which I'd highly recommend.
All in all, a great trip. Thanks Giulia!
