Big windows, awesome views, a great place to be creative or to simply relax on the deck. Clean saltwater lake (created by an enclosed cove - swimable in the summer!) and private dock; the beach on Case Inlet is steps away. Watching the bird-life on the cove is a meditation.

Walk on the beach, watch birds, the sunset, canoe or SUP on the cove, kayak, campfire, bliss. Dine al fresco on the deck. Check for availability - calendar is not always in sync with other booking sites and family use.

The space

It has two small bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with bunk beds (the lower bunk is a double and the upper a twin) and an open loft upstairs that has a double bed. It has one full bathroom. It is a cozy cabin and suited for up to 6 people maximum. It is filled with original art, ethnic textiles and carpets.

Perfect for a ladies group getaway weekend.

Sarah has such a great set up for a weekend or family/friend get-away! The sprawling deck, private dock, and 2 person canoe + 2 SUPs lend for such great summer relaxation. My family and I stayed here for 2 days, which were filled with fun out on the sound and dining on the outdoor deck during sunset. If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway (no wifi here), or to connect with others, this place is for you!

Sarah has a truly beautiful home. We stayed here the weekend we got married, and having such a quiet and peaceful escape from wedding madness was such a gift. We loved sitting out on the patio and watching the water. The house also provided a beautiful backdrop for wedding pictures, and once our photographer took a few pictures of me getting ready with my bridesmaids she decided to do the first look pictures with my husband and me out on the beautiful dock. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Thank you!

A splendid stay! We were hoping for something tranquil in the middle of a very busy and stressful weekend. We took advantage of their full kitchen and prepared some lovely meals and then left our cell phones at the cabin to row around the lake. Such a sweet two days.

This cabin was airy and spacious, nicely furnished, overlooking the water. It is very quiet and the hummingbirds do barrel rolls all day long to the many flowering bushes surrounding the property. We saw eagles, blue herons, ducks and geese, but most importantly it was peaceful. Everyone was quite comfortable. It's close enough to get groceries and a local bar/restaurant, the Home Port - for throwing some horseshoes. We all enjoyed just hanging out on the huge back porch overlooking the water, and we also went down to the dock for drinks (plenty of lawn chairs) and canoeing. Sarah was attentive and was quick to answer questions. It's a treat and all of us thought we would rent this "Peaceful Cabin on the Cove" again when next we visit.

Beautiful, well kept cabin and really friendly experience. I loved the view! It was hot when we arrived but there was fans that solved that even without use of the air conditioner. The beds and couch were comfortable.

Our group of friends had a wonderful weekend relaxing at Sarah's cabin. It is very well equipped, inside and out, and the space is clean, comfortable and inviting. Although neighbors are close, there was no one around while we were there and so it was indeed peaceful. We didn't mind hearing the excited campers in and on the lake just down the road - it's a sound of summer! We enjoyed the canoe, paddle boards and the beach, as well as exploring some of what the area has to offer. Sarah was prompt and efficient in her communications.

My stay at Sarah's cabin was lovely. Sarah gave us all the right information making our arrival a breeze. There was a bottle of bubbly waiting for us in the fridge! We spent most of our time sitting on the deck reading and enjoying the sun. Sarah had some cushions for the outdoor chairs which I really appreciated - it's nice to be able to sit for a long time and remain comfortable. There is a camp at the end of the road, so some of the time we heard the sounds of very excited children canoeing in the cove. It was only for an hour or two though, and it was kind of sweet to watch them play. The kitchen was very well appointed, and I had a easy time finding what I needed. Rental kitchens are mostly disappointing, but not this one! It was clean and had all the basics you need to put together a nice meal. The whole place was very clean and organized. The neighborhood is peaceful, though a little denser than I had imagined (the neighbors are only a few feet away) - but to be right on the water, with such a short commute from the city - I really can't complain. I enjoyed taking short walks on the main road. Tons of wild flowers and fresh air.
