The smell of salt air, the sound of water lapping, the sun glinting off ripples that surround you...a feeling of peace and the world left behind. The Salty Dog is a space that is both cosy and open to the water, a wooden boathouse for two that invites you to relax and just 'be', to go off grid and reconnect with mother nature at her best.

The space
The Salty Dog has been set up as a romantic getaway for two - one loft bedroom with queen bed and luxurious flax linen bedding. There is also a casual space under the large opening skylight window with beanbags upstairs where you can read, play games or just relax.
Downstairs is the combined lounge dining and kitchen - windows all around so you really get a sense of being on a boat on the water. A continental breakfast hamper is included in your booking.
There is also a bathroom with electric flush toilet, vanity, basin and shower.
Please note there is no 240V power on board… only a 12V system with 3 USB charging points with lightning cables to charge your phone. If you are bringing a computer or camera gear, please make sure you charge before you come aboard.
Outside there is a ladder for easy access straight into the water, a dinghy with oars and also an outdoor hot/cold shower for use after a swim.
The back deck is perfect for those quiet nights with a loved one enjoying a gin and tonic and cheese platter while watching the sun set over Pittwater - what a perfect way to end a day :-)

Guest access
Whilst you’ll have use of the dinghy to go ashore during your stay, we will take you out to the Salty Dog when you first arrive. We meet you at the Marina and deliver you and your luggage to the tiny houseboat. This also gives us the chance to show you around and answer any questions. A water taxi is also available for shore trips if you wish.

Other things to note
The Salty Dog carries the safety gear required for adults but is not set up for children, particularly young children and babies and so bookings are only available for adults.
