House was perfect for the 8 day stay. With two little ones it was so much easier and less costly than staying in a hotel. Christine was great at taking care of any issues that arose.

This house was perfect for four of us on a family vacation to our hometown. Everything was great!

Three of us went for a girls weekend and loved it! The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for a relaxing time. Christine was quick to respond to any questions before or during our stay. The unique shops and delicious food that Bay City has were less than 15 minutes away. Thank you, Christine!

This cottage was great for a girls weekend away with 4 adults staying and cooking for a long weekend. The home was clean, lots of amenities and in a rural cottage setting. A bit of an initial mixup with getting in the house was quickly rectified by Christine

Our hostess communicated with us well about her pleasant cottage in a quiet neighborhood near the river and not far from the relatives and events where we wanted to spend time, including how to get in the night of our arrival. For the two of us, the house was very roomy; one bedroom with ample bed for two, and the other bedroom, which would be good for kids served me well as a dressing room prior to attending a wedding and other parties. The living area had comfortable seating for watching TV and a good breakfast table. Lots of towels!

I recently made the move to Grand Marais, finally after visiting the area for 12 years. I have lived in many places around our amazing country, and I have traveled abroad. So believe me when I tell you this area is incredibly unique, beautiful, and provides a peace found only on the shores of Lake Superior.

I am a mother to 2 great boys, and I have helped raise 3 more boys. I was hockey mom then golf mom and a few other sports along the way. My youngest is now 20 years old, and has returned to Oregon to explore.

For some time now my passion has been exploring the area surrounding my new home. I love introducing new spots to visitors and listening to their stories upon returning from a day spent in our forest or on the lakeshore.

If you are a novice nature explorer, or an expert backwoods trekker I can point you in a direction to leisurely enjoy our area or challenge yourself against nature.

Some activities I enjoy: camping, kayaking, hiking, biking, skiing, cooking, reading (epically next to a fire), rock hunting, and gardening.
I love watching our ice climbers but haven't gotten up the nerve to give it a try, yet!
Snowmobiling is a means of winter transportation not just an activity.
