Breakfast
This is one of a few places in the area that has this feature.
Our room is small but we try to provide everything a traveller needs. There is a double sofa bed, a single loft bed above, a table, two chairs, heater, and tea/coffee tray. Free wifi available. Private toilet. Shower in shared bathroom. Light breakfast served at 8.30am, earlier if required. Garage parking for cycles. Car parking. 1 mile to beach. Postcode is HS7 5QA. Ours is the white cottage with trees around and grey painted garage halfway along the Griminish road in cluster of houses.

The space
Our cottage used to be the local nurses house and is situated in the small rural township of Griminish with other houses nearby. There is a mature garden surrounded by moorland which is a birdwatchers paradise. Room is small with double sofa bed and a single size loft bed above. Private toilet with washbasin next to the room and use of main bathroom with shower. 4 miles to village with bank, airport, shops etc. 1 mile to the nearest beach, 2 miles to school with sports centre and hotel. Garage parking for bikes and car parking in driveway.
This is our family home which is small so we can't provide 5 star hotel facilities but we do offer a clean, comfortable space at a reasonable cost and a warm welcome for travellers.

Guest access
Tray to make tea/coffee and light breakfast is provided. Bathroom with shower is shared.

Other things to note
The islands have beautiful beaches with white sand on the west side and moorland with rocky coves on the east side. Mainly flat landscape with lots of lochs but there are views of the hills and mountains behind the cottage. Great birdwatching around the cottage. Hen harriers, short eared owls, lapwing, buzzard, redshank, corncrakes, and the usual garden birds plus more.
We are in a central position which is ideal for visiting North and South Uist.

Very peaceful and quiet. Only sound is the birds and the waves on the beach with occasional cars going past. The road is single track with passing places.
Cottage is in the small township of Griminish with other houses scattered nearby.
