Beto and Lena's place is run like a hotel. Rooms are clean! They have a store room where we left our heavy luggage. The location is very very central, all cab drivers are aware of this location and place. All restaurants, cafes and university area is very close by. Would totally recommend this place!

Place is really a hotel. Very close to botanical garden and university. Can walk to main pedestrian street with shops and restaurants but very steep and long walk back to hotel. Room at front of hotel. On a very busy road and near to student housing so can be very noisy at night with cars, late night loud singing and barking dogs. Place was clean. Only met one of hosts at check in. After that front desk clerks who were helpful. Weird bathroom: toilet on pedestal and right outside shower. Must be careful of small space and not to fall. Building is historic and charming. Although noisy windows at front faces ancient aqueduct.

Really good room, super friendly and warm. The balcony is great and overall the service is really good. If you plan to visit the city, mainly the "Alta" part, it's the perfect place to stay.

After some boring and plain rooms at other other hotels it was a pleasure to arrive at this traditional, old-fashioned and charming residence. A friendly welcome and then a walk up the stairs with the nice 'old world' smell of furniture polish greeted us. The suite layout of the room gave us plenty of space and the French windows onto the balcony gave it all a light, airy feel. Despite the vintage age of the place, the power, heat and ease of using the shower was amazingly good! Two minutes away at the university steps was the best cafe for breakfast that we found on the whole trip and right next door is a good restaurant if are exhausted from sight-seeing and don't want to go out too far. If you can't get a park on the street, the receptionist will show you where to park right opposite, outside an empty building. There is always someone at the reception desk, so security is good. Being in a popular student accommodation area, Saturday night can get a bit 'lively' outside, but don't let that put you off this cool place in a prime location.

This hotel was located close to the university, botanical garden, and only a couple of minutes walk to the city center. The people working there was kind and helpful. The room was nice as described in the listing. The only downside was that it could be a bit noisy when students were partying down the street.

This is a small hotel near the old part of Coimbra. It was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for what we came to Coimbra to see and eat! We did not actually meet the hosts.
