The space
The Cabin’s bedroom features a beautiful four poster queen bed and the 3 piece bathroom is accessed through the bedroom, the additional beds are in the living room area (A daybed and trundle). Please request that these extra beds be made up in your booking request should you require them.
There is a cozy fireplace to keep the cabin warm when it’s chilly and you are welcome to use our outdoor fire pits- as long as there isn’t a fire ban.

Please note the cabin is attached to our barn just across the driveway from our house. In the barn we have a craft market that is occasionally open on weekends and shares a wall with the cabin itself.
If you’d like a peek at our market space just let us know and we’d be happy to open it for you!

We’ve recently added chickens to our little homestead, so you will have the pleasure of hearing our rooster “Heathrow” greeting you in the morning, and although we do provide earplugs for all our guests, please remember we are an active farm.

The property is surround by mature trees and we’re always working on growing or building something new. We encourage you to take a stroll around, you’re sure to glimpse a hummingbird or two, our beehives and chickens are just behind the barn and we have ducks in the garden by the house. Just watch out for the electric fence around the bee yard!

A half dozen farm fresh eggs ($3) and fresh baked sourdough ($7) are available for your stay with at least 24 hours notice.
We also have a couple of things to do while you’re visiting:
You many have the chance to join us for our "Be a Beekeeper" experience and info session ($65/pp) where we provide you with a protective suit and tour of our hive yard to learn the basics of beekeeping when we open up the hives and have a look inside.
Or perhaps you’d like to enjoy a private tea party (minimum of 2 guests, $25/pp) in the beautiful dining room of our 225 year old home. Choose one of our custom tea blends served along with a light lunch or snacks.
Please understand that these experiences must be booked in advance and are only available depending on our schedules. Feel free to message us for more details!

Hi I’m Cara and this is my husband Frankie. We moved to the South Shore of Nova Scotia from beautiful Whistler British Columbia with a dream to expand our beehives and grow more of our own food. I grew up in the prairies of Manitoba and Frankie just outside of Paris France. We’ve had the opportunity to travel throughout the US, Mexico and Europe. We love exploring and are looking for a safe haven to rest our heads while experiencing new lands and cultures. Whether it’s dinner with friends or opening our doors to other travellers, we love hosting people in our home and cabin.
