The space

The interior is a bright cozy comfortable two bedroom, one bath that has original cabinetry, but completely renovated in 2014. Furnishings are certainly a nod to mid-century with a Noguchi table, and lots of modern art.

Guest access

Our property is a triplex. There is a house in the front whose tenants park in the driveway. In the back of the property there is a two story apartment. There is an apartment on the second level and the Airbnb rental apartment (also our home when in SD) is on the first level. There is a small yard shared by all. Airbnb parking pad is directly behind the apt. off the alley entrance. Ample street parking is also available. The front driveway and the garage are used by the long term tenants.

Interaction with guests

We live out of state half of the time but have people locally to handle any situation that might come up.

Other things to note

We have a non allergenic, non shedding Labradoodle who has lived part time in our apartment. We have had cats as well but it has been at least 2 years since they have been in the space.

This is a quiet neighborhood, so our apt is best suited for well behaved adults. We are the owners of the triplex and we respect our tenants working schedules. No smoking inside or outside anywhere on the property within 25 feet. No additional guests allowed with out permission from owner. It is not suitable for children.

Lorrie is a great host and the apartment is exactly as pictured. The apartment was easy to find and super easy to check-in. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 month stay here in Lorrie's beautiful home. Very convenient location with great restaurants in walking distance, not to mention a quick drive to downtown or the beach. I highly recommend Lorrie's place for your trip to San Diego!

We had such an incredible stay at Lorrie's! The home is fully equipped for long or short stays. Prime location to shops, restaurants, and cafes. Safe neighborhood to run in or walk to the parks located nearby. Very easy access to the highways, making traveling downtown or to the beaches simple. The inside of the home is inviting and clean, the beds are extra comfortable! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a true home away from home while in SD.

This place was perfect- comfortable bed, comfortable couch, felt like a home instead of just a rental. The location is perfect as well, close to tons of shops and restaurants. The parking spot is super helpful too! Tons of room inside as well.

Lorrie's apartment is a quiet little slice of heaven. It is decorated so mid-century mod and looks just like the pictures. We felt so relaxed and comfortable here. She takes excellent care of the apartment. The apartment is extremely clean and in a great location. We would definitely stay here again.

We are "Bi-Border" these days - living part time in San Diego and part time in Bellingham WA. Both about 20 minutes from the borders!!! Our current apartment is in a great location close to the neighborhoods Hillcrest, North Park, University Heights, and Normal Heights-Kensington. Jump on the freeway and you are in Downtown San Diego or the airport in 10 minutes.

Lorrie is a general contractor so I guess we are serial remodelers. Pam is a recent retiree and loving it. She is very involved with her CASA kids, several boards, and we both love all the paws in our house. Camping in our restored 1962 Airstream affords us the opportunity to explore with our pets in tow which we love. We spend time in the Northwest with family but love returning home to sunny Southern California.
