We had a great stay at Kate's place. Mohamed and Najib were really helpful too. The Riad is absolutely stunning and right in the heart of the Medina. The roof terrace is lovely and really quiet considering where it is. Kate was a great host and replied to queries super quickly. If you choose to stay at Kate's you won't be disappointed.

Kate is very responsive and accommodating. Having had family in the area for quite a long time, she also has a wealth of local contacts that makes taking day trips very easy! Mohamed, a long-time family friend of Kate, is particularly helpful for arranging pickup and drop-off at the airport and for day trips. The riad is centrally-located amongst the souks near the main square of Jamaa el-Fna. The riad feels hidden away, but it occupies four stories. Its appointments and interior architecture harken back to the roots of the city. The two main bedrooms provide plenty of light and noise isolation and have private bathrooms. Moreover, there are two levels of terraces that are excellent for both breakfast, dinner, and late-night conversations.

Riad Youssef is a perfect place to stay in the hart of the Medina in Marrakesh. The Riad is very aesthetically decorated, and very well equipped. It is wonderful to relax in the quiet ambiance of the courtyard after a day exploring the busy old town. Kate is a nice host. She reacts quickly on e-mails, gives recommendations and helps in case of problems. Mohammed also is very helpful and we can recommend making a trip with him to the Atlas Mountains where we visited a Berber house. We had a great time in Marrakesh and can highly recommend the lovely Riad Youssef.

I'm a recently relocated Londoner and live with Ab and our 2 children, dog, 2 cats and 3 hens. I worked in social housing for over 20 years but am now trying to live a slow life by growing some of our food, living in a green home and making time for conversation. I'm now a lego building country hermit! I'm also working part time at a museum and loving it though I'm no history buff.....
I love meeting people and spending time in our home in Marrakesh - you can't beat sunshine, Moorish architecture, outdoor living and Moroccan hospitality
