Overall, the vacation was nice, but the guest house disappointed us although the staff invited us to a barbecue one of the nights we spent there. It was also nice to meet Affyf on the port helping us to get the right ferry to get to Huraa Island. Although we were on a budget holiday, so not expecting any luxury, the fact that the pictures show a room different than the one available for the guests disappointed us - apart from us there was only one other couple booking who was island hopping, moving without reserving, so it was not like the room shown on the pics was given to someone else. The village and the island itself are really nice, and gave us the chance to have local experience and food that we were happy about, though.

It took forever to get to the hotel from the airport. Extremely expensive getting the speed boat to and from the airport which was not mentioned. There was no toilet paper in our room the entire time and the shower was cold. There is literally nothing to do on the island. Bikini beach is far away and taking the speed boat to go anywhere got extremely expensive. I would not recommend staying here. Just book a resort and if you can't afford that don't go to the Maldives because you really aren't getting the real experience staying here.

Nafiz, is one of tehe funniest, extraordinary good organisator. As the dive center in Huraa was (again) not able to offer me any service, Nafiz managed me for 10 days the dives in the Cinnemonressort and a every day Ride an pick up with his boat to the resort. Affyf just managed after some misunderstandings a good service to get to Hurraa with a cheap speedboat ride. Huraa ist a got place if you look for local, traditional, authentic Maledivian life. A big thanks for all to Nafiz again!

Affyf and Nafiz are great. To clear some confusion - Affyf is the person in Male handling the communication with clients and Nafiz is the owner of the guesthouse. Both of them are at your disposal. Nafiz is offering unique and authentic Maldivian experience. This is great spot for exciting and fun vacation different than luxurious resorts. The island is off the beaten track. There are not many tourists so you get to see the local life. Nafiz is resourceful and knows many people so he can arrange many things. Don't be afraid to ask. For example, the snorkeling trip he organized was better than the snorkeling in a fancy resort. Fishing, surfing, scuba, you name it - he knows the right people. The guest house is not a five star hotel but has all the needed amenities. The island has a small beach that is 10 min walk from the guesthouse. A restaurant is next to the house and shops are within 5 min walk.

First of all Affyf welcomed us straight at the airport, which was very nice, otherwise we would have been a bit lost (it was 7am on a Sunday and we did not sleep much on the plane so we were quite tired). The public ferry was only around 2pm but we did not want to wait for so long so we asked Affyf and Nafiz to arrange a speed boat for us. It is much more expensive than the public ferry (160$ compared to 2$) but we were tired and just wanted to reach the island quickly. It took us around 25 minutes (very fast boat, hold on to your seat :) Affyf also took care of us when we left the Maldives. We took the public ferry (1 hour) on the way back to the airport. Affyf was very nice and helpful. The host Nafiz was also very nice and helpful providing us everything we needed. The island is small but nice for few days (we stayed a week). The house was nice (I think there were 5 bedrooms in total). The bedroom was cleaned and fresh everyday. We were downstairs and there was no great view on the outside. But we did not really mind as we spent the whole day out of the house anyway. And there are chairs and tables oustide where we had breakfast everyday and where you can relax too. There is a small beach where you can wear a bikini very close to the house (8 minutes by foot). The beach is very nice and the sea is wonderful. Perfect temperature and sunny everyday (we went end of February). The only downside was that they didn't have an in house chef so we had to eat out for our dinner everytime at the only restaurant of the island. The food is good, but not many choices. Internet connection in the house was ok, not great. We did the turtle safari activity which was nice but a bit scary if you are not used to snorkel far from the beach so it is better to ask for a life jacket in that case to feel more secure. We also did the activity "barbecue on an island" which was really nice as Nafiz and his colleagues took us on his boat to another island (20 minutes away). There are no people living on that small island so just for an afternoon trip but the beach was great and Nafiz did a barbecue on the spot with fish and meat which was very good. Overall it was a great local experience and worth the price. It is good to relax. Thank you again, I will come back with the rest of my family next time :)

Affey is quite friendly and helpful. Our flight arrived in Male at 22:35, and he picked up us himself and send us to a hotel near airport, the next day lunch time he sent us to the ferry to our Hurra island. Affry requested beach view in that hotel, so we could enjoy the beautiful sea rise view in the morning, thanks to Affery! As for the guesthouse owner Nafiz, he is an excellent owner and always tried his best to help us to enjoy our holiday. He gave us activity briefing and suggestions in snorkelling/turtle safari and day trip to resorts. And his guesthouse is quite clean and quiet and convenient to restaurant&local cafe. Narif is very resourceful and helpful, and he always could solve our problems. Great appreciate to Nafiz, and my husband and I will highly recommend Nafiz to our friends. We are looking forward to visiting Nafiz's guesthouse again!
