My boyfriend and I took a 4 day trip to the Oakland area in hopes of exploring the area including San Fransisco, Oakland, Napa and the Redwoods. We had a great experience at Susan and Mark's. The place was clean, communication was great and the couple provided many suggestions about things to do. We took the train and the ferry to get to SF. There were many restaurants and things to do in the area. We would definitely recommend this stay to friends.

We got in during the afternoon. Where we were to stay was marked with a trail to our room, which was pretty fun. The bedroom has a sitting room attached to it which was nice to be able to spread out but still have our own space. We were only here for two days but the room was very tidy, very quiet, and there was a nice booklet explaining things to see and places to eat in the neighborhood. Was a fantastic stay, would definitely come back to this treehouse.

From the very beginning, Susan was prompt in answering all my requests. She provided me with all the information I requested, as this was the first time my husband and myself were visiting San Francisco. She also accomodated an early check-in which allowed us to time to "potter" around the local neighbourhood. The neighbourhood had some very unique stores, and we were "book browsing", when my husband found a great music book which he bought. Piedmont street, was very convenient and lots to see.

The hosts were lovely, generous and welcoming and the neighbourhood was fabulous. An excellent independent coffee shop on the corner, good food within minutes, really interesting architecture in the houses as I wandered winding streets, and a bus right outside the door. Most special was a remarkable cemetery designed by Olmsted and the Chapel of Chimes only fifteen minutes away.

My stay was perfect. Quiet, helpful and friendly hosts. The bed slept wonderfully and the location was quiet while being very close to good restaurants and main streets. Bus to downtown was easy and so was walking. Thanks.

The best thing about this place is the location. One block from Piedmont and all it's excitement. The home is well-cared for and Susan and Greg are friendly and interesting.

Susan and Mark are very friendly and gracious hosts. This was a sweet place to come home to at the end of the day. The bed is sooo comfortable. I slept well all four nights. It was nice to have the little sitting area adjacent to the bedroom to relax in as well (and do my morning yoga :-). I appreciated the extra touches, such as a binder of information about local restaurants and places of interest in the area, and fresh flowers on the dining table. I felt right at home.
