The space
Our Bed and BBQ offers you an opportunity to unwind and enjoy your tranquil setting. You can just listen to the lake lap against the shore… its literally 300’ away! Or cozy up to the inside fireplace seasonal (Oct. to March)

Guests bring their bikes and cycle through the County as the terrain is quite flat and the Millennium Trail is close by.

The space has air conditioning and a fan. It features in-floor heating with a split duct heating unit for cooler days. A spectacular natural gas fireplace seasonal use (Oct to March)!

We can accommodate 2 adults as well as one dog.

Our STA is licensed with the PEC Municipality and can be found on their website as STA #2022-0059.

Your 500 sq. ft. of open concept private space has a galley kitchenette and moveable prep table. Equipped with a coffee maker, kettle, air fryer, convection hot plate, microwave, mini-fridge. Outside dining and use of Napoleon natural gas BBQ.

The modern bathroom offers a walk-in European style shower experience which is extra large and includes a teak stool.

High speed internet speed at 55 Mbps with a desk situated to take in the Lake views, provides a great space for remote work.

A 55" Sony TV that swivels with the option to add your account for viewing paid TV.

Enjoy the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets and spectacular night sky. There are no streetlights!

A restful sleep awaits in your king size “Westin Heavenly Bed” with hotel sheets/pillows/mattress cover.

Enjoy a day of relaxing on the beach, we’re only 20 minutes from Sandbanks Beach; 10 minutes from North Beach and 5 minutes from Wellington Beach.

Visit exceptional wine, cider & beer makers for tastings. We are a 3 minute drive from Sandbanks Estate Winery and located in Hillier.

The Town of Wellington is a 5 minute drive where you can get amazing coffee and explore shopping, dining and the art scene.

You have a private entrance on the east side of the house with a private drive & parking lot.

Your ramped deck with chairs offers you an area to enjoy the outside and take in a sunrise.

Our backyard offers a Napoleon natural gas BBQ and a sitting area with table and chairs for dining or relaxing while you watch the spectacular sunsets!

Other things to note
This is a rural space in a quiet farming community.

Most of the wineries are open all year and welcome guests…insider note its quieter at these places in the off-season

The rental space offers a tranquil setting to help rejuvenate and take in the magic of the stillness.

It can be quite windy in the County, so pack accordingly.

Although you can view Lake Ontario from the space, there is no Lake access from the property.

There is a rock beach at the end of the road that you can access.

The Owners’ dogs may be on the property, a male neutered and female spade Portuguese Waterdogs who are overly friendly.

Neighbourhood highlights

Our rural farming neighbourhood is quiet and relaxing and there is a beach at the end of the road which you can access. You will have a lovely view of Lake Ontario; however, please note there is NO access to the lake from the Summerwind property or from across the road. There are over 40 wineries, cideries & breweries in PEC. Wellington on the lakes golf course is a 3 minute drive.

I am a bed snob so a King "Westin" Heavenly Bed awaits my guests. Your private deck has a lovely view and Lake Ontario is 300’ away. Beaches, Wineries, Cideries & Artisans surround Hillier. An Ontario parks pass is available. A quiet, serene, secure rural space awaits to relax & enjoy with breathtaking views and spectacular night skies.
