Growing up in Florida, I enjoyed the best of the beaches. It was always a special time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet with family and friends. I had heard about the beaches south of Tampa where I grew up but did not experience them until I was an adult when I went to Anna Maria Island and Casey Key with my family. We fell in love with the area. And since my husband Rex is from Colorado and we live in Golden, Colorado and have mountain lodges and cabins named Quartz Mountain Ranch and Coal Creek Cabins, so the island beach gives us an incredible contrast to the mountains.
