This darling authentic Mid-century Modern Hideaway is just around the corner from the UofA and The UofA hospital. Centrally located, it is in it's original form, built in the 1950's, but beautifully maintained. Great privacy and beautiful views!

The space

The Prince Hideaway offers a quiet, secluded and private, in-town experience. You will be within walking distance of a grocery store and the trails, yet you will be tucked way back from the road in a very private setting. There is a farmer's market just up the road on the weekends. The views are beautiful, and the wildlife is abundant. The house is clean, cozy and authentic . The setting is gorgeous, The house sleeps 4, two queen beds and is fully stocked. There is one large flatscreen TV with Satellite Tv and wireless internet. There are a few books for your enjoyment. There is coffee, tea and water, and snacks as well. Trader Joes is just up the road, Safeway and the University of Arizona is under three miles to the gate. The best Sonoran Mexican food is within walking distance, as well as Ghinni's, the best breakfast in Tucson, only three blocks away. Everything is close to this central, convenient location!

Guest access

Guests will have access to the home and the grounds. Inside there is Satellite TV, including NFL, and all movie channels. There is wireless internet included . If storage space is needed for a longer stay, that too, is available. There is a separate carport where a motorhome can be parked. You will have access to running, walking and cycling trails and there is a shaded carport for your car with a side entrance to the home.

Interaction with guests

I am usually not in Tucson when my guests arrive. I currently live in Colorado, but visit Tucson whenever I get a chance. If I happen to be there, and see that you are not busy, I will introduce myself but I know you are not coming to see me! Otherwise, I am always available by phone, and I have a caretaker for the property to take care of any and all problems and help with whatever you need, who lives just across the street!

Other things to note

The bathroom in this house is simple and small, but clean and adequate! I say this because it is the original! It is well equipped with a blow dryer, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, if you forget yours, and clean fluffy white towels! There is a new air conditioning unit and heating unit in the house.

This is one of the best AirB&B I have ever been. The place is really cozy, clean and comfortable, exactly what we needed while expecting the birth of our baby. Me and my family just spend a great time there, mostly enjoying the house. Thanks to Cynthia for taking care of this place making it a real home for us travelers.

We were delighted to be able to return to the Prince Hideaway. As last year everything was shiny clean, and Cynthia, the most thoughtful of hosts, added a bedroom bureau and a Keurig coffee maker to an already well equipped, cpomfortable and attractively furnished home. As visitors to Tucson who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities, Prince Hideaway is a well located base of operations. Plus you can walk to Rosa's and Ghini's restaurants for great Mexican and French food! We also appreciate the that a Safeway and Trader Joe's are close by. And thanks, Cynthia, for the Safeway shopper's card. Further accolades: Cynthia has been the most communicative Airbnb host we have experienced. She initiates conversations to make sure all is OK, and she responds promptly when reached out to. We hope Prince Hideaway will be available to us on our next Tucson trip.

Response from Cynthia:
Ellen, I missed my chance to give you another wonderful review, and I am sorry that I was so distracted while my brother was ill. He did pass away It is always such a pleasure to have you as guests and "friends". I appreciate your independence and kindness so very much during this difficult time. Anyone would be fortunate to have you as guests! You are the very, very, very best!

Cynthia was a fantastic host and the Prince Hideway was a great base of operations for me while re-acquainting myself with a city that I left years ago, but that I truly love. The house was even nicer than the photos would lead you to believe. Nice mid-century design touches in the interior and a very efficient place made it easy to settle in and enjoy. "Hideaway" was appropriate, because while it is near a lot of restaurants and activity, it is situated in a nice quiet spot with a lot of tall oleander around making it feel like you are out in the desert. Cynthia was responsive when I needed anything and was enthusiastic about sharing her love of Tucson and what it has to offer.

Prince Hideaway was the perfect place quiet, yet centrally located casita for a weekend girls trip to Tucson. Cynthia was very communicative and left me and my friend with plenty of information on Tucson to ensure we had lovely visit . Her place is very clean, comfortable, has everything you need, looks just like the pictures and as described. I highly recommend Prince Hideaway and I would stay there again for my next visit to Tucson.

There's a reason why the Prince Hideaway is so popular and full of five star reviews. It's truly a one of a kind, centered on the back of a nature lot with lizards, prairie dogs, bunnies and plenty of singing birds, where you can't even see it from the road, clean, well stocked, tastefully decorated, comfortable, private, yet close to so many places to enjoy (Trader Joe's, restaurants, etc., etc.). When I booked my reservation coming from Michigan to visit Tucson for the first time, I knew it was the place, but it's even more than described and has a lovely feel all around. Cynthia was very attentive, answering the many questions I had, sending check-in info as soon as I booked and she handled me locking myself out with grace - especially since she was out of state and her caretaker needed to help me. Honestly, I can't say enough good about the Prince Hideaway and very much look forward to staying there again when traveling to Tucson. It more than met my needs for a safe, private, clean, well located yet still in a nature setting, feel good place. Thank you for sharing it with us Cynthia!

Clean, comfortable, quiet and secluded, we really enjoyed our stay at Cynthia's house. It's also very close to tons of restaurants and shops, and walking distance to the river walk.

I am an active, energetic mother of three children and three beautiful grandchildren. I was born and raised in Tucson, my parents and grandparents also were native Arizonans. I am married to a forester and we have had the fortune of living many places, but home has always been the desert. My husband Rick and I live in Boulder, Colorado with our two sons and our daughter, their spouses and our beautiful grandchildren.
