Escape to a beautifully restored heritage loft on a 27-acre working farm in the heart of the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island. Soak in a clawfoot tub, curl up by a wood-burning fireplace, and wake up to sweeping valley views from your private rooftop deck — just 10 minutes from Duncan and an hour from Victoria. Perfect for a romantic couples retreat or a solo farm escape.
The space
The Loft is Keating Farm’s most spacious and grand suite, featuring soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed ducting, and an abundance of natural light. The king-size bed is dressed in luxury bedding with extra throw blankets, and the full bathroom boasts an authentic clawfoot soaking tub.
The kitchenette is fully equipped with a mini fridge, convection oven, hot plate, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils — plus a coffee and tea station featuring Drumroasters Coffee and Westholm Teas, both local Cowichan favourites. A dining table, dedicated workspace, and cozy sitting area complete the suite.
Step out onto your private rooftop deck to take in tranquil views of the rolling hills — ideal for a morning coffee, an evening glass of Cowichan Valley wine, or a locally brewed craft beer.
Located in the Glenora area of South Cowichan, we’re tucked between Cowichan Station and Glenora with easy highway access less than 5 minutes away. Downtown Duncan is a 10-minute drive, and Victoria is just 59 km away — making us the perfect base for exploring Vancouver Island. The surrounding area offers hiking, cycling trails, kayaking, fishing, and swimming in the nearby Cowichan River.
Keating Farm is one of the oldest and most storied farms in British Columbia, with nearly 130 years of history. Our 27 acres are home to honey bees, chickens, turkeys, sheep, and pigs, alongside heritage orchards and award-winning restored agricultural buildings. Farm tours are warmly welcomed — we love sharing the history and heart of this place with our guests. Local produce and meats are also available for purchase depending on the season.
