Entire house in quiet close off Montrose High Street. Two double bedrooms (one en-suite) and one single room (a camp bed is available to make this a twin room). Original features, but fully modernised with wet room, utility room, dining kitchen & private cinema. Own garden.

The space

My house in Montrose is handily located just off the High Street. You're close to locally run and owned shops - a fresh fish shop, Hogg's newsagent, and Bel's Butchers. As well as 3 supermarkets (Tesco, Aldi and Lidl), there are pubs and restaurants on your doorstep. The sandy beach is a 15-20 minute walk away. And the fifth oldest links golf course in the world is here too. It's a perfect place to explore the coast - with the stretching sands of St Cyrus and Lunan Bay just a cycle or short drive away. And heading inland, there are the delights of the Angus glens to explore. Further afield, there are the cities of Dundee and Aberdeen - easily reached via regular train services leaving from Montrose railway station, which is a short walk from the house. And if you're in a car, although there's no parking outside the house, there is a free car park within a 5 minute walk. If you are attending the Open Golf tournament at Carnoustie in July 2018, the house can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably. Carnoustie is a 20 minute train journey, with additional Scotrail services provided during the tournament.

Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for your stay.

Guest access

There is a private cinema which is great for catching up with movies on a rainy day. A utility room has a washing machine, dryer and drying racks. There is a dishwasher and fridge freezer. No TV - but wifi throughout the house. There is a private garden with table and chairs and a clothes drying area.

Anthony's cottage exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful on every level. Very clean and cozy. Anthony was very easy to get hold of and left very clear instructions on how to get around the cottage. The area on high street was ideal and close to everything. Highly recommended. :)

Great place in a great location. Superb communication, and we appreciated Anthony's recomendations for things to do in the area (beaches, walks, restaurants, etc.). And after a week of traveling with small children, I was particularly grateful for the fully equipped laundry room. :) Many thanks!

The house is interesting, comfortable and quirky. We had a lovely time in the Montrose area and also enjoyed being able to buy fresh fish from the local shop. Lucky to be there for herring, samphire and new potato season. We loved the cinema in the basement. I will be recommending a visit to my friends

Montrose was a place we came every year as children for our holidays. My grandfather was the second vet in the town and I've been based here for over 12 years. I travel a lot with work, and the house reflects many of the things I enjoy to come home to - good movies, a great kitchen to cook in and beautiful beaches to visit nearby.
