The space
Escape to nature and unplug in our charming off-grid Bunkie, designed for simplicity, tranquility, and a touch of adventure. Nestled among peaceful meadows and forest trails, this cozy retreat offers a truly unplugged experience—with solar lighting for evenings, and a rechargeable lantern to light your way.

Outdoor Amenities Include:
* Private firepit with two classic Muskoka chairs
* Picnic table for meals under the sky
* Compact BBQ (BYO small camping propane canister)
* Complimentary bag of firewood with your stay (extra bags available for $10 each)

Please Note:
The Bunkie does not have running water or electricity inside. We provide clean bedding, pillows, and blankets for your stay—just bring your cozy slippers for cooler nights.
An Amish-built outhouse with a hand-wash station is just steps away, offering a rustic but comfortable experience.
While there's currently no outdoor shower, guests often enjoy swimming at beautiful local beaches (just 5–15 minutes away) or bring a portable camping shower if preferred.

Guests also have access to meadows and forest trails shared with our Tent/Yurt guests and our family, including peaceful trail rides with our horses.
 Visit our lovely koi fish ponds or say hello to our friendly horses over the fence.
Love games? You’ll find a selection of board games and playing cards inside the Bunkie—perfect for a relaxing night in.

Horse Connection Experience
Deepen your connection with nature through our Horse Connection Experience—a peaceful, guided 45-minute session with our gentle herd. You'll meet each horse, learn about herd dynamics, equine communication, and how to connect through breathwork and presence.

This non-riding experience includes:
* Grooming, petting, and leading the horses
* Feeding treats and taking memorable photos
* Insights into horse behavior, safety, and body language
This session is perfect for individuals, couples, and families with older children looking for a meaningful, calming interaction with these majestic animals.

* $25 per person (paid via e-transfer before the experience)
* Closed-toe shoes/boots required
* Session duration may vary slightly with group size

Guest access
You'll drive through our property, past our ponds and horse paddocks to your site. A video will be provided.

Guests can walk through our glamping area, our forest trails, up to and around our horse fencing and can access the island in our main pond via a bridge.

Our hidden gem property has the added bonus of being close to restaurants, groceries stores (7-9 min drive), Tim Hortons (5 min) and many local attractions including Ski + Mountain Bike Hills (18 min), Vetta and Cavan Ridge Spas, Trails, Beaches (5 min to Bass Lake and 13 min to Orillia beaches). Casino Rama and Burls Creek are only 25 min away. We have had many festival guests over the years.

You can access drinking water on site and we have firewood for purchase.

Other things to note
Please review local weather and temperatures and prepare accordingly. There's nothing worse than being unprepared for weather and having a poor stay because of it.

We recommend you bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, paper and lighter to start a fire.

Neighbourhood highlights

Although we are on a beautiful, peaceful 25 acre property, we have the added bonus of being close to restaurants, groceries stores (7-9 min drive), Tim Hortons (5 min) and many local attractions including Ski + Mountain Bike Hills (18 min), Vetta and Cavan Ridge Spas, Trails, Beaches (5 min to Bass Lake and 13 min to Orillia beaches).

In the winter, we have amazing snowshoeing on site and are 20 min from Mount St. Louis and Horse Shoe Valley. We are super close to the snowmobile trails and ice fishing opportunities.
