Response from Joe:
An unfortunate stay for Bill's group. In advance I stated the couch was no longer present and the group stated they could easily reside in the two rooms since they were friends. I offered the blow up mattress that works quite well for a 1 foot mattress. All mattress lose a bit of their tension over night. My daughter used this mattress in my main house the week before with her husband and there were no difficulties. It was checked with the ladies left and appears to be working. The trash in the bins was minimal and were the wrappings of paper towels and some small boxes for the Kerig coffee that I provide for my guest. The small amount of trash was at the bottom of two cans one for recycling and one for trash. These were clean and available. The TV works, there may be a bit of a technology challenge that had the ladies at a disadvantage not understanding a PC, HDMI connection, or how to use a SMART remote, keyboard or mouse. Needless to say there was another TV in the apartment that they were able to use. The cabinet underneath the sink sometimes come off of one hinge and easily reconnects. The bathroom is impeccable but if individuals use too much tissue it really doesn't matter whose home, the toilet will have issues. A plunger was there beside the toilet and easily resolved the issue. No plumber was needed. The chain on the toilet handle seems to have dropped of and was reconnected. If the ladies had been somewhat careful the handle would have been fine. It was reconnected and tested with no issue. So there may have been a small challenge with simple plumbing. I've been hosting for quite a while and there are very few that really don't understand the workings of a home or have been as "needy" and complaining as this group. Certainly, this is not a group I would welcome back to my home. There is so much to enjoy and appreciate in a fully functional and stocked 2 bedroom apartment. It is unfortunate some guests seek to diminish a hosts residence. I would recommend any host think twice before welcoming this group to your home.
