Spacious room for solo travelers in the leafy green Mt. Airy neighborhood. The room has hardwood floors and a ceiling fan to move the air around. There is also a resident cat who is quite playful.
This is a low-fragrance household. Allergies.
The home is a 1920's stone row house in one of Philadelphia's most beautiful neighborhoods. It's about 8 miles from the noisy urban center of Philadelphia but still within the city limits. There is a grocery story and a public library one shady block away. The back deck covers a private parking space.
There is a reliable alarm system, wifi, HD tv in the living room. New kitchen that is available for your use. Your host isn't the cooking type, but you are welcome to cook.
The layout of the home is open and airy. There is hot water radiator heat, but no central air conditioning. The house was built before such things existed and hasn't been much altered from that time.
Guests are welcome to use any space in the house and to keep a bicycle in the garage. The washer and dryer are new, as are the rest of the appliances. Only my bedroom and office are off-limits.
Interaction with guests
I'm happy to help you figure out how to navigate the city and the neighborhood. I'm not home a lot, but am a great Netflix companion. For the most part, I leave you to your privacy and peace.
Other things to note
Note: like many homes in Philadelphia, there is no central air conditioning, but ceiling fans do a good job. The cat is fearless and will want to play with you. He's also young and still learning about manners.
No drugs. Not even pot. No smoking or burning stinky things in the house. Don't let the cat outside. :-)
