Interaction with guests
This is a pretty private suite with only a small suite above (2nd floor). Guests may have as much or as little interaction with owners and Guests staying in our Bed and Breakfast as they wish!
Other things to note
This is most important regarding the time of your stay...
As we are located at the Lake, Directly on the Entertainment Strip, there are several establishment owners who hire entertainment during weekend and holiday afternoon and evenings, especially during summer months. Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after our mid-September Bike Weekend, the lake becomes extremely quiet. More so, as we are a 'destination', weekends, as well, host motorcycles. Due to these facts, please realize that these busy times should be observed, and if you are sensitive to noise, though we do not want to discourage your stay with us, you may wish to reserve your stay Sunday through Thursday rather than weekends and holiday weeks / weekends.
This pretty Suite accommodates Adult Guests in an Adult Atmosphere. Smoking is not permitted inside of the suite, though beautiful umbrellas table with chairs are provided on the porch just outside of your suite.
Jerry and I purchased, then moved into our lovely home, April 16, 1990. To our dismay, and trying desperately to get some sleep that evening, we lay awake staring at the ceiling wondering what in the world we were thinking taking on such a HUGE task of refurbishing the dilapidated Eagle Cliff Hotel and Cottages. I worked at a Power Plant, raising our then 6-year old daughter while Jerry took the task of blood, sweat and tears. Cottages needed to look pretty for the Memorial Weekend forthcoming, while the hotel needed to wait another 13-years to get it's face lift. We painted, patched and cried...then they came. And they were happy. Our prayed for guest's arrived, couples and families. Our cottages were ready, they were clean, they had kitchens to cook, porches to sit, and they were one step above camping...but pretty! Then 2002 arrived and Eagle Cliff Hotel got it's turn, and oh what a turn it got. The historic wallpaper was torn off, the floors, ceilings and walls were replaced. Where once there were 12-bedrooms and 2-bathrooms were now 6-bedrooms and 6-bathrooms...and a utility room with Washer/Dryer. Wow...What a CAD program and a guy with a vision can do...Thank-You, Jerry. The name was changed to Eagle Cliff Inn. Dedication was held May 24, 2003, then May 25, 2003 arrived. Once again, they came, only this time they were couples and single adult guest's for looking for cozy beds, private bathrooms, evenings by the fireplace, hot-baked breakfast's in the mornings, a large wrap-around front porch for people watching....and Lake Erie...and the Wineries, lots of Wineries. Now, April 16, 1990 forward twenty-five years later to 2016, and here we are. Jerry and his 5-heart attacks, me with my ovarian cancer, but both of us now healed and in good health. Mostly, Jerry and Lu with 1-beautiful daughter and son-in-law and 4-fabulous
grandchildren. You know? God is Good, all the time....and me and Jerry keep pointing our rocking chairs toward the west! Oh, and did I tell you that We entertain Angel's unaware....?-Hebrews 13:2.
