Emerita was a wonderful host. In fact, I doubt there is a better host in all of Aruba. Her apartment is quaint and nicely decorated in the heart of San Nicolas (only 5-10 minute walk to the main street). Emerita ensures that you have everything you need and truly goes above an…

First of all, Emerita is quite possibly the nicest person on the planet, and was a truly wonderful host. She responded immediately to emails, was great with directions and check in, and even greeted us with a bottle of wine! Her property is beautiful and the detached apartment …

Thanks for your kind words. Appreciated....Looking forward to your next visit. I heard from airbnb that you said you had to sit on the balcony to receive wifi. I asked you often if everything is OK. Each time you told me how happy you were staying at the apartment and how great everything was....On the last day you told me you would visit again. Since I installed an extender on the patio wifi signals have been strong. So if there was a problem it was a temporary thing that could of been fixed with a phone call to my provider to fix the problem if there was one. Feel free to always let me know if there is something, no matter how small it seems at the time. I aim to please my guests always. Best wishes...Emerita

Had a lovely time with Emerita in Aruba! We stayed for the second half of our week-long vacation. The two beaches she suggested were wonderful, and my favorite on the island. We are very happy that we had a car - it would have been quite inconvenient if we were walking, as the be…

Hi Lydia, Thank you for your heartfelt review. Appreciated. I am glad you had a lovely time. I enjoyed our chats in the evening, especially Chris' stories.... I need to clear the following up. In my airbnb profile it says and I quote. "Getting around: There are buses and auto buses along the main road. However if you want to explore the island it is best to rent a car, jeep, motorcycle or what ever else you can rent or pay for, to go on a tour around the island. There are several tour operators you can book with." I mention this so every one can make an informed decision. So you don't have to walk to the beach, only to the bus station (many of my guests do this) and from there you can take a mini van bus and be at our nearest beach, Baby Beach in around 10 minutes or so. About the key....Remember when I introduced you to my father, who was supposed to hand you the keys. He explained that there had been an honest misunderstanding...because he was not wearing his hearing aid at the time (90 years old) and thought you guys were local friends dropping by, yes I have friends that drop by sometimes. He came to apologize to you and you laughed and accepted his apology. This is the very first time this happened, so I want my guests to know that you always get your keys on arrival and get taken to the apartment in case I am not home at the moment. Usually I am there to welcome you with a bottle of chilled wine and snacks under the gazebo. I also check in with my guests regularly, to see if they need anything else, in your case an icebox, a mat for the beach etc. All the best with your graduate studies and to Chris with his artistic endeavors. Cheers!
