Spacious studio suite in Heidelberg, in the heart of Mennonite country, only 5-7 minutes from St. Jacobs and Kitchener-Waterloo. Travel to many area attractions or relax and enjoy the privacy of this suite, which sleeps up to 6 guests.

The space

Named after the blacksmith's shop that was once in the building, the suite incorporates elements of its historical purpose.
The Blacksmith's Loft is ideal for groups up to 6, featuring a full kitchen, dining area, and private deck.
The suite is a second-story open-concept studio apartment, with one area curtained off for added privacy for the king bed. A queen bed and double-sized pull out couch in the open area provide sleeping for up to 6 guests. (*Note a couple of the photos were taken when there were 2 pull out couches - one of them has been replaced with a queen bed.)
The full kitchen includes all cookware and dishes necessary to prepare your own meals. There is a dining area for up to 6, as well as a high counter with stools. The private bathroom includes a shower, sink, and toilet. There is cable TV and wireless Internet provided.
The Blacksmith's Loft features a private entrance and private deck with a BBQ, table, and chairs.

All bedding, linens, and towels are included and prepared for your stay.

With its open concept and relaxing atmosphere, the Blacksmith's Loft is also a great place for a quieter retreat.

I stayed here with a group of six girls to take my sister out for a weekend. It was everything we needed, and everyone kept commenting on how cute it was. It's nicely out of the way from major cities, but close enough that you could easily drive there. Check in and check out were super easy. Steve and Jane were amazing hosts, always quick to answer any questions I had and helpful about recommendations for the area.

We were at a wedding across the road and this place was perfect as a home base for the weekend! The place was clean, well stocked (we especially appreciated being able to make our own breakfast and iron a suit before the wedding), and comfortable. Steve was a great communicator leading up to our stay.

Steve and Janes place is beautiful, spacious and clean. We had a wonderful time there and would definitely rent again. Steve is a speedy communicator too, and is always available for any questions. Would recommend!

We had a good stay at Steve's place. The loft is nice, spacious, bright with lots of windows and all amenities. Steve was a very responsive host, and replied immediately to all messages. The loft is close to the st Jacobs farmers market. You will get a bit of traffic sounds from the street but it is a small town and the traffic is sparse. The washroom is a bit small (then again I'm on the tall side so it's relative). Overall I would recommend this place and would stay again myself.
